As the Environmental Health and Safety Officer, you will be handed responsibility for the development and effective implementation of all Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures throughout the plant. You will also be given facilities management responsibility.

DUTIES

  • Ensure legal and contractual compliance of all HS&E requirements
  • Ensure ISO 14001 compliance
  • Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance to ISO 14001
  • Develop and implement a plan to enhance compliance, performance and services
  • REACH – Administration of supplier information and upkeep of REACH database
  • Develop the organisation’s safety management systems and Health and Safety policies
  • Assist with risk assessments
  • Record results of Health and Safety risks
  • Submit RIDDOR reports
  • Report to relevant committee in relation to accidents and incidents
  • Update Fire Risk assessments
  • Deliver training
  • Management of Plant facility records (PPM system)
  • Management of company’s site facilities, control contractors, waste management and servicing

REQUIREMENTS

  • NEBOSH / IOSH General Certificate
  • To have gained your experience from preferably manufacturing
  • ISO 9001 and / or  ISO 13485 awareness
  • Member of Environmental body such as IEMA
  • Internal and external auditing experience
  • Contractor management negotiations
  • A superb communicator
  • Proactive, hands-on approach

Duties of the Fabricator / Welder:

  • As part of the Fabrications team, we have opportunities for MIG fabricators (medium, light and heavy), Sheet Metal Fabricators, and Aluminium Fabricators.

Requirements of The Fabricator / Welder:

  • To be successful in this position you will need to be able to demonstrate experience of either MIG +/or TIG Fabrication with Aluminium, or heavy and medium grade steel, and/or sheet metal. 
  • You will ideally hold experience of plasma cutting, oxy acetylene cutting manual press break operation, hand tools (grinders and drills) and have a minimum of 2 years industry experience.  
  • You will also need to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and be a good team player.

A long-established vehicle manufacturer with a proud history of building robust and bespoke products to a very high-quality standard for their customers, is currently seeking to strengthen their manufacturing team with a Final Assembly Manager.

The company are known for their ability to tailor and incorporate the specialist and specific needs of their customers by fitting new specialist equipment and structural and fabricated parts, components and materials to commercial vehicle chassis systems.

They can offer a range of services and hold an extensive selection of equipment which can be incorporated within short lead times. 

The role requires a Manager to oversee the final build and assembly workshop. It will manage the final vehicle assembly covering a wide range of vehicles and specialist equipment.

The main duty will be to manage the vehicles final stages of the build from equipment that is mounted to commercial chassis, pre delivery inspections, H&S testing to IVA test approval. Auto electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems fittings.

A suitable candidate should have the following experience:
 

  • At least 4 years’ experience of working in a vehicle or commercial vehicle assembly environment. 
  • Exposure of fitting equipment and fabrications to chassis systems
  • Inspection of post fittings and assembly work
  • A good knowledge of vehicle electric, harness and Hydraulic / Pneumatic systems fitting. 
  • Good Team Management skills
  • Good understanding of manufacturing and product fitting procedures
  • Good exposure to Final Assembly Test, Sign off and Safety requirements. 
  • Good Communication skills 

This is great opportunity for an experienced Final Assembly Manager or someone who has worked in the Final Assembly of Commercial Vehicles with some responsibilities for approval and sign off, to join a stable and progression organisation with order books already full for most of 2021.

  • £30,000 - £35,000 negotiable, dependant on experience
  • Monday – Thursday, 7:45am to 4:45pm, 2:15pm finish on Fridays

DUTIES

  • Control of supplier requirements and ensuring that ordering and delivery is in line with supplier lead times and payment terms.
  • Working with Production to understand exceptional material requirements translating into material delivery plans. 
  • Liaise with MP&L Logistics Analyst regarding material requirements and timed changes to minimise scrap and obsolescence costs. 
  • Control of delivery notes.
  • Control of Supplier packaging levels and regular reporting of stock levels and damage container control to minimise financial impact.
  • Provide comprehensive efficient logistics support to all areas of the business 
  • Work with projects and purchasing to support change control and new product introduction.
  • Liaise with the third party and Supplier transport companies 
  • Control of SAP master data for allocated portfolio to ensure stock optimization delivery of Supplier requirements and business objectives. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong IT skills
  • MRP skills, preferably SAP
  • Excellent experience of Material Planning from within a fast- paced manufacturing background would be beneficial
  • Superb analytical skills
  • Essential – outstanding communication skills
