MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

We are seeking to recruit a proven Maintenance Supervisor to work alongside our Maintenance & Engineering Managers who support our large, complex operation located within the Wiltshire region.

Duties of an Maintenance Supervisor 

  • You will be required to lead the shift team providing “hands on” technical support whilst also developing the use of preventative maintenance strategies and a continuous improvement ethos.

Requirements of an Maintenance Supervisor

  • The position of Maintenance Supervisor will require you to have a proven track record in developing maintenance structures, where your individual input into the business has seen improvements in plant reliability, production volume, staff retention and overall profitability. 

It is essential that you have supported a team of Maintenance Engineers as either a Supervisor or Manager, within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment. 

The role is commutable from Bath, Frome, Salisbury, Westbury, Warminster & Wells

MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

I am looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a Precision Engineering company. This is a multi-skilled role that will include Maintenance on machinery and facilities both Electrical and Mechanical. 

This is a day’s role with hours either 8am-4.30pm or 10am-6.30pm with a package of:

  • Salary £35,000 depending on experience. 
  • 25 days holiday

Along with an NVQ Level 3/ ONC/ City & Guilds the ideal candidate/ Maintenance Engineer must have previous experience with Electrical equipment including PLC controls and CNC machinery is desirable. 

The Maintenance Engineer role will include the following:

  • Provide preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment to ensure effective running.
  • Review TPM schedules to ensure operatives complete in a timely manner and inform Team Leaders of deficiencies
  • Report back to the Maintenance Supervisor & Manager on concerns regarding the operational status of machinery
  • Ensure, through regular checks; the power, lighting, LEV and water systems are maintained.

We are keen to talk to Maintenance Electricians and Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers, and candidates who can commute to the Nottingham area so Derby, Mansfield, Loughborough.

  • Carry out Planned Maintenance Activities 
  • Experience with the following Kit: Hydraulics & Pneumatics / Conveyor systems / Packaging and Labelling and Wrapping Equipment / Temperature controls / HMI’s / Controls / Motors and Drives. 
  • Able to read both Mechanical and Electrical Drawings. 
  • Great communicator as you will communicate at all levels within the team. 
  • Flexibility is key to this role. 
  • Apprentice trained holding a Formal Qualification in Mechanical Engineering. NVQ Level 3 – Mechanical engineering / City & Guilds Level 3 – Mechanical Engineering. 
  • Happy to work a Continental Shift.

PILING SUPERVISOR

Reporting to the Piling Manager, the Piling Supervisor will manage contracts efficiently, profitably, and safely ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations.

Piling Supervisor Key Interfaces in this role: Piling Operatives & Foreman and Pile Testing

Hours and Benefits

  • £35,000 - £37,500
  • 41.5 hours per week

Piling Supervisor Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Produce, monitor and maintain all piling files and enquiries, including archiving (hard copies and electronic) to comply with Company’s QA system
  • Obtain briefing from Piling Manager and carryout site visits to assess and manage works for the Piling operation
  • Advise the Piling Manager of variations in requirements of site conditions which may affect the tendered works, for example start dates
  • Inform the Piling Manager of any specific requirements prior to the placement of order requests. Advise and agree on extras with the Client and Manager
  • On a weekly basis carry out compliance checks on ongoing works, toolbox talks and site safety inspections. Where possible visit site on day one of the project to assess early driving conditions
  • Liaise daily with Operators on rig performance, daily rig figures and material deliveries to enable accurate monitoring of work in progress for submission to the departmental Quantity Surveyor
  • On completion of works ensure works meet specification, agree all variations and customer satisfaction 

Piling Supervisor Candidate Specification

  • The Piling Supervisor will have previous experience of managing piling contracts
  • Flexibility with nationwide travel 
  • Experience of carrying out pre-start meetings with clients and completing all QA documentation
  • Assist in organising mobilisation of the Company’s plant and materials to site
  • You will have experience of maintaining working relationships with client’s representatives and dealing with administrative matters arising during the contract period
  • Procurement of site paperwork including preparation of foreman’s pack, CDM pack and site-specific RAM’s and advise the office of materials to be cleared, close out work in progress and base CVR figures
  • Collection and collating of site production figures, reporting to area office on a weekly basis
