A PRESTIGIOUS manufacturing organisation in the Redditch area are looking for an experienced Tooling Technician.

This is a busy production facility where your prospects as a Tooling Technician be assured.

You will be working in a high volume facility, working 3 shifts, and you will be responsible for the maintenance and the tooling across the site.  Some tooling modifications would be required.

Duties:

  • Attend tooling breakdowns
  • Repair tooling
  • Ensure all TPM’s and PM’s are completed
  • Comply with Spares tracking process
  • Involvement with continuous improvement projects
  • This will be a 3 shift pattern, Monday to Friday

Requirements:

  • Apprentice trained
  • You will have gained your experience with a high volume plastics environment
  • Good problem solving techniques, ie.- 8D, Why and Ichikawa
  • Happy to work shifts
  • Tooling experience, repair ideally
  • Keep cool under pressure!

  • A good eye and attention for detail
  • Experience working to KPIs with regards to scrap and increasing quality
  • Metrology experience – able to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment
  • Quality system experience
