Job Description

This is an opportunity to join a successful company based in Tipton to undertake reactive and preventative maintenance on plant equipment in this Heavy Industry manufacturing facility. This is a DAYS based position working Monday – Friday.

This successful and well established Heavy Industry company is seeking an Electrically biased, Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join the maintenance team in this DAYS based role.

Role Description

  • Working as part of a team, you will be providing both Reactive & Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • Maintaining a variety of Heavy Industry Equipment including furnaces. 
  • Fault Finding both Electrically & Mechanically (electrical bias)
  • Reporting to the Engineering Manager
  • This position is a Day time role working 40 hr week Monday – Friday with a 7am start
  • Once trained you will also be required to go onto the call out rota (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off). Call out and any overtime are paid at additional premiums.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineering Experience with an Electrical bias
  • Electrical Engineering Qualification.
  • Successful candidates must have experience working within a Heavy Industry environment and will ideally have worked with furnaces or have heat treatment plant experience. 
  • Heavy Engineering / Furnace / Foundry / Heath Treatment 

In return you will joining an existing team within a well established company in their field with a salary of up to £31,500 depending on skills and experience. There is also additional payments for call out and regular overtime opportunities. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will be joining a large, International heavy industry organisation based in the West Midlands. 
You will be undertaking reactive and breakdown maintenance on automated machinery and will be working on a 3 shift rota covering AMs/PMs + Nights  (Monday to Friday). 
 
The Role:

  •  In the role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will be undertaking both planned and reactive maintenance tasks to plant machinery across the facility as part of an Engineering team. 
  • You will be fault finding on PLCs and drives. You will also be involved in contributing to continuous improvement processes and the implementation of the preventative maintenance programme. 
  • You will be covering a 3 x shift rota consisting of rotating AMs + PMs Monday to Friday, and Nights Monday – Thursday.
  • This is a fantastic role if you are looking for development as there is the opportunity to work on a wide variety of heavy industry machinery in this position.

The Requirements:

  • To be considered for this Electrical Maintenance Engineer position you will need to hold a relevant Electrical Engineering qualification and will ideally be apprentice trained. 
  • You must also be able to demonstrate experience of working within a Maintenance role supporting plant and equipment within a manufacturing or production environment including fault finding on PLCs. 
  • You also need to have an indepth knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
  • I would be keen to speak with Multi skilled Maintenance Engineers who hold an Electrical bias, Electrical Engineers, or Heavy Industry Electricians.
