We are a well-respected employer within the engineering sector and are seeking to recruit proven Site Based Groundworker Civils to join our Sites Services team, who support our 15-acre facility.

Duties of a Groundworker Civils:

As a proven Groundworker you will be required to undertake “hands on” planned and reactive maintenance actives linked to undertaking statutory inspection for compliance across the facility. 

The role will see you being involved in supporting a wide range of  infrastructure such as brickwork, structural concrete, bunds, effluent & storm drains and pipe laying across our large and ageing facility that will see you not only undertake remedial works but also work on new developments on site. 

Requirements of a Groundworker Civils:

You must have brickwork & concrete experience, specifically within buildings, storm drains & sewers and pipe laying .

You will hold formal Apprenticeship and be qualified to either a City & Guilds Level C / 3 or NVQ 3 Standard in Civil Engineering or a construction discipline. Linked to a proven background in undertaking similar work as part of a small but effective team.

Ideally you will hold formal Apprenticeship, however must hold either a City & Guilds or NVQ qualification in Pipe Fitting, Welding or Mechanical Fitting / Engineering, allied to having a proven background in undertaking plant installations and modifications within either a heavy engineering / manufacturing, process or production environment.
 
You must also have experience of undertaking primarily Mig welding, however if in addition you hold experience of Arc & Tig welding it will be an advantage.
