As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be joining a leading Heavy industry company in Willenhall working DAYS 8am – 4pm Monday – Friday to undertake breakdown and preventative Electrical and Mechanical maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Role Benefits:

  • £30,000 - £34,000 salary, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Role Description

  • In this role of you will be carrying out reactive and preventative Electrical and Mechanical maintenance on plant and equipment in a Heavy Engineering environment.
  • You will also be involved in continuous improvements and PPMs.
  • You will be joining an existing and welcoming Engineering team.

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Skills and Qualifications

  • Successful candidates will hold an Electrical Engineering qualification such as NVQ3 or City & Guilds. You will also hold 18th  or 17th Edition wiring regulations. 
  • This position requires you to have Electrical fault finding abilities in a Heavy Engineering environment, and you will also ideally have mechanical abilities including experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • I would be keen to talk with Engineers who hold previous experience within Maintenance Engineering team who are multiskilled with an Electrical bias.

Maintenance Technician Role Description:

  • Maintenance Technician you will be joining a team of Engineers to undertake both Electrical and Mechanical planned and reactive maintenance tasks to plant machinery across the facility. 
  • This is a “hands on” multi skilled role and you will be supporting heavy presses, ABB and Kawasaki robots, hydraulics and pneumatics, and PLC run plant machinery in a time sensitive production environment. 
  • There are 2 opportunities to either work rotating AM/PM shift rota 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm Monday to Friday, OR permanent Night shift Sun – Thurs, 10pm – 6 am.

Maintenance Technician Skills and Qualifications

  • To be considered for the Maintenance Technician position you will ideally be Apprentice trained and/or hold a relevant Engineering qualification such as City & Guilds or ONC/HNC.
  • Successful candidates will be able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings, and will also hold fault finding abilities with PLC controls.
  • It is integral that you can demonstrate experience of working within a previous Maintenance role supporting plant and equipment within a manufacturing environment.

DUTIES OF THE OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

  • Overall management and accountability for the Production and Engineering functions, in order to meet sales, output, manufacturing efficiencies, quality, safety and environmental targets
  • Management of Cell Managers and the Head of Engineering
  • Point of contact on site for any emergencies
  • Responsibility for budget and capital expenditure
  • Supporting commercial strategies with customers and suppliers
  • Reinforce expectations on safe working practices
  • Annual planning for labour and equipment
  • Compliance with all SHE policies and Procedures 

REQUIREMENT OF THE OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

  • Is it essential that you have a Degree in Chemistry, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Strong experience of chemical synthesis
  • A strong leader, with the ability to develop, mentor and manage, a natural Leader
  • Good knowledge of managing cost and budgets
  • Experience in SHE requirements and process safety management (COMAH ideal, but not essential)
