Duties of the Manufacturing Manager:

  • Full ownership of manufacturing, including Toolroom, Maintenance and Production
  • Ensure budget and outputs targets are met
  • Ensure Quality, safety, cost and delivery targets are met
  • Make sure that resources are in place to meet production targets
  • To contribute to strategy concerning policies, processes, and procedures to increase performance
  • Through Maintenance, ensure that the equipment is being maintained to required standards and availability is in line with production
  • Health safety adherence
  • Set departmental KPI’s
  • Manage your teams, ensuring correct staffing levels, holidays, training, appraisals, attendance, and disciplinary issues
  • Setting annual budgets
  • Manage daily expenditure

Requirements of the Manufacturing Manager:

  • To have previously managed within a production environment, where you have been fully responsible from incoming materials to delivered finished products
  • Previous man-management experience
  • Budget responsibility
  • To have previously held responsibility for Production, Quality, Maintenance and Toolroom

Duties of the Production Manager

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of multi-disciplined teams (Production, Procurement, Quality and Stock Control)
  • Create and maintain strong planning and JIT (Just-In-Time) strategies, with a focus on delivery. 
  • Training and ensuring continuous improvements are carried out throughout the entire production facility. 
  • Maintain excellent communication streams and avenues between all relevant departments to ensure effective advanced planning can be achieved and put in place well before capacity levels are met.
  • Delegate team leaders to ensure operational requirements are adhered to and maintained.
  • Liaise and be part of the Senior Management Team and assist in taking the company forward in a positive direction. 

Requirements for the Production Manager position 

  • A proven recent history of managing medium to large size production and manufacturing facilities.
  • Good exposure of working within a fast paced and JIT environment. 
  • Excellent understanding of all the associated departments that allow a modern production facility to operate effectively (Procurement, Supply Chain, Stock Management, Quality and Planning)
  • A formal qualification in Manufacturing or similar 
  • Excellent people management and communication skills 
  • Experience of the delivery of multiple bespoke products through Production or Manufacturing, strongly desired.
  • Experience of producing products in either of the Aerospace, Automotive, Retail, Marine or Consumer Goods sectors would be preferred.

DUTIES OF THE QUALITY ENGINEER

  • Monitor customer quality concerns 
  • Identify and close out repetitive concerns
  • Create action plans to improve performance.
  • Discuss / negotiate specific concern boundary 
  • Analyses customer returns, concerns and defects found in the production.
  • Perform Capability Studies and Parts and Process Audits.
  • PPAP preparation – documentation and presentation.
  • Perform Gage Studies (Gage R&R, Bias, Linearity and Stability) 
  • Ensure that continuous improvement is made in all production MEQ quality deliverables 
  • Ensure that customer and internally identified quality issues are resolved using problem solving methods e.g. 8D Report, 
  • Ensure that all quality activities are performed according to BOS, IATF 16949, and ISO 9000, ISO 14001 etc.
  • Support the continuous improvements
  • Identify and use the appropriate statistical tools.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE QUALITY ENGINEER

  • Relevant experience within Quality Engineering
  • A high standard of education is required
  • You will have gained your experience from within a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Good training in Quality disciplines such as PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans and SPC
  • Must hold a driving licence
  • To thrive under pressure

Maintenance Electrician Role Benefits:

Maintenance Electrician Role Description

  • In the role of Maintenance Electrician, you will be carrying out reactive and preventative Electrical maintenance on plant and equipment including CNC machinery.
  • You will also be involved in continuous improvements and PPMs.
  • You will be joining an existing team working rotating 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm shifts Monday – Friday 

Maintenance Electrician Skills and Qualifications

  • To be considered for the role of Maintenance Electrician you will need to hold an Electrical Engineering qualification and will ideally be apprentice trained. You will also ideally hold 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations.
  • This position requires you to have experience of Electrical Maintenance in a manufacturing or production environment and you will ideally have experience of fault finding on PLC controls. Experience of CNC machinery would also be of benefit.
  • I would be keen to talk with Engineers who hold previous experience within similar roles such as Electrical Engineers or Multi skilled Maintenance Engineers who hold an Electrical bias.

This company design components for both the domestic and commercial heating sectors and have ambitions to grow across the board.

DUTIES:

The Internal Sales Executive will be responsible for:
