PRESS SETTER DUTIES

  • Working a 2pm till 10pm shift pattern Monday – Friday
  • Set 80 T to 400 T Progression & Roll Feed Presses

PRESS SETTER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have experience of setting Progression and / or roll feed presses
  • Happy to work permanent 2 / 10pm shift
  • This would suit a friendly, easy going sort of person

Job Purpose

To slit and perforate rolls of media into specified dimensions for further conversion and or printing according to the production plan and product specifications

Key responsibilities and accountabilities for this Production Operatives role:

  • Loading media onto perforating machines
  • Unloading media from perforating machine and package for onward production or despatch
  • Batch coding, boxing, and labelling media
  • Quality control checks at agreed stages of production

Standards/Targets for this Production Operatives role:

  • Simultaneously operate two to three perforating machines
  • OEE Performance target 65% 
  • Scrap against production 0.7%
  • Ensure all relevant Health & Safety standards and guidelines are complied with
  • To follow company procedures at all times
  • Keep working area tidy
  • Follow standard operating procedures.

Skills Required for this Production Operatives role:

  • Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the company’s products, procedures, and stock
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Work well under pressure and to deadlines
  • Adaptability
  • Good levels of English and Maths skills
  • Good level of fitness
  • Good team working skills

Hours of work for this Production Operatives role:

  • Monday to Friday – 8am to 5pm
  • Breaks (unpaid) – 15minutes in the morning, 30 minutes for lunch and 15 minutes for afternoon break.

Estimator Pay and Hours

  • £28,000 - £32,000, negotiable dependant on experience
  • 8:30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday (possibly flexible)
  • 31 days holiday, including statutory, increasing with service

The Role

  • Client is looking for an Estimator who will be responsible for designing, specifying and pricing adequate products in response to client enquiries.
  • The Estimator will also be required to meet client expectations by ensuring prompt replies to queries, utilising all the information provided, implementing information gathered from design/site meetings and meeting site delivery dates.   
  • You will need to communicate effectively during a handover meeting with your appointed project team to ensure correct drawings are produced on time and in accordance with your design.

Personal Specification

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a construction Estimator role or similar
  • Proven ability reading construction drawings and extract relevant information efficiently
  • Solid knowledge & understanding of the construction process
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Commercially aware, target driven and ambitious
  • Experience of using Bluebeam and AutoCAD desirable 

Estimator Key Responsibilities

  • To prepare an accurate, competitive and detailed technical schedules for client products with the assistance of a dedicated internal structural engineering team. 
  • Follow up schedules with customers via phone calls and emails to build relationships with key contacts.
  • Provide basic calculations to the current standard for all products specified by you.   
  • Detailed handovers to the project team when orders are received.
  • Provide excellent customer service; attend occasional office and site visits to develop customer relationships, solve technical issues and develop product design.   
  • Carry out product presentations as a training aid to staff and customers.
  • Conduct site installation training sessions for customers when required.

Duties of a Production Planner:

  • Provide manufacturing with production plans in line with customer requirements

  • Review demand forecast
  • Identify variances from previous forecast
  • Create Production plan considering material and manufacturing capacity
  • Chair weekly production plan reviews
  • Ensure Production plan adherence
  • Maintain relevant data

Requirement of Production Planner:

  • You will have previous experience of Production Planning
  • Ideally, you will have gained your experience from within manufacturing
  • MRP experience 
  • Competent with MS Office and operating ERP systems
  • To have the ability to form and maintain strong and effective relationships

Key Roles & Responsibilities for the Quality Inspector:

  • Prepare raw material for sampling of new products and resolve any issues
  • Inspect and pass off new sample parts and generate ISIR and Ppap or FAIR documentation where required
  • Investigate root cause & determine corrective actions for non conformances
  • Carry out Internal calibration and arrange external calibration
  • Generate scrap + rework records
  • Carry out Audits and Environmental or Health & Safety inspections & risk assessments
  • Maintain COSHH data sheets and inspections

Skills & experience required for the Quality Inspector:

  • Suitable candidates will ideally have a minimum of 2 year’s experience as a Quality Inspector.
  • You will ideally hold metrology experience and be able to read drawings and use measuring equipment.
  • Energetic and passionate about Quality with good attention to detail and well organised.
