CONTRACT PIPE FITTER

We are a well-respected employer within the heavy engineering sector and are seeking to recruit proven Contract Maintenance Engineer with strong Fitting, Pipe Fitting and Welding skills to join our plant project & installation team. 

Pipe Fitter Benefits: 

  • £17.00 Per Hour
  • Paid Overtime at Premium Rates.

Duties of a Pipe Fitter Welder    

  • As a proven Pipe Fitter Welder you will be required to undertake both Installation and maintenance across our plant, which will require you to have experience of  soldered, screwed, flanged and crimped industrial pipework allied to also holding TIG and ideally Coded welding skills working with an array of materials.

Requirements of a Pipe Fitter Welder    

  • Ideally you will hold formal Apprenticeship, however must hold either a City & Guilds Level C / 3 or NVQ 3 Standard qualification in Pipe Fitting, Welding or Mechanical Fitting / Engineering, allied to having a proven background in undertaken plant installations and modifications within either a heavy engineering /  manufacturing, process or production environment. 

As this project has been defined as being inside IR35, you must be happy to work via an FCSA approved umbrella provider.

WAREHOUSE CONTROLLER

We are urgently looking for an experienced Warehouse Controller to join a CNC machining company based in Redditch. If you are immediately available and looking for a new role as an exciting Warehouse role - this is the role for you.

The Warehouse Controller role will require you to:

  • Pick and pack engineered parts
  • Experience of progress chasing
  • Will be required to undertake pressure washing of machined components
  • Work with drawings and specifications
  • Able to understand the manufacturing process
  • Ideally the Warehouse Controller will have the following background or experience:
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • A current FLT counterbalance license
  • Full UK driving license (must be over 25 due to insurance) 
  • Driving a long wheel based transit type vehicle

STOCK CONTROLLER

The Stock Controller Benefits include:

  • £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • To set up and run a PI plan for warehouse operations to physically count
  • Make sage stock adjustments from submitted counts
  • Investigate and correct stock issues, checking sage/physical stock discrepancies and fill in a summary report
  • Sorting and labelling locations
  • Investigating when ‘Free Stock’ appears and amending sage, completing summary report
  • The Stock Controller should be able to Organise yearly stocktake

Candidate Specification

  • The Stock Controller should demonstrate excellent computer skills
  • Should have a knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • The Stock Controller should have Sage Experience
  • At Least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Attention to detail is essential 

Bill of Material (BOM’s)

  • Analyse BOM to ensure the material is correct.
  • Ensure the times within each process are correct
  • Working with the production team to ensure BOM details are updated to reflect current operations

Press Brake Operator Key Responsibilities

  • Set-up, adjust and prepare press brake (Current machines) Amada, Edwards Pearson.
  • Finding correct tooling/program per set-up.
  • Check the heights of tooling and adjust back stops etc. along with light guards.
  • Set-up and adjustment of material for folding at correct height.
  • Locating programs and adjust tonnage and tooling for each part being formed.
  • Provide feedback to Production Manager all jobs not meeting set-up and/or production standards.
  • Producing folded parts to drawings supplied, measuring with Vernier Caliper, Protractors etc.
  • Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.

Press Brake Operator Specification

  • This person will work well on their own and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • He/she will need to be well driven.
  • The appropriate person must have a keen eye for detail, and ability to read drawings.
  • They must have pride in their work and maintain a tidy safe workspace.
  • Must be reliable, and physically fit.
  • Good mathematical ability and able to use measuring devices such as Vernier callipers and protractors.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced-team environment.

As the Service Co-ordinator / Administrator, your duties will include:

  • To manage the diaries of the Service Engineers, 
  • Liaise with the customer to arrange a mutually acceptable time for scheduling of service/repair work
  • To be responsible for allocation of work to the engineering team
  • To rebook any re-visits / missed repair, breakdowns and maintenance visits
  • To be the main contact for customer enquiries, 
  • Ensure all plant equipment is logged in and out as required
  • All general administration duties including filing, logging invoices and inputting data into company CRM system
