Job Description

We are a well-respected employer and are seeking to recruit proven Maintenance Engineer, to join our Perm Night Shift maintenance team.

Duties of a Maintenance Engineer 

As a proven Maintenance Engineer you will be required to undertake both planned and reactive maintenance across our plant, which will require you to have experience of supporting plant and equipment within either a manufacturing, process or production environment.

Requirements of a Maintenance Engineer

You must hold formal Electrical & Mechanical qualifications to either a City & Guilds Level or NVQ standard and ideally be apprentice trained. The role will require you to have core electrical & mechanical abilities allied to Plc fault finding skills.

The Maintenance Engineer role is commutable from Birmingham, Dudley, Smethwick, Walsall & Wednesbury

This is an opportunity to join a successful company based in Tipton to undertake reactive and preventative maintenance on plant equipment in this Heavy Industry manufacturing facility. This is a DAYS based position working Monday – Friday.

This successful and well established Heavy Industry company is seeking an Electrically biased, Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join the maintenance team in this DAYS based role.

Role Description

  • Working as part of a team, you will be providing both Reactive & Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • Maintaining a variety of Heavy Industry Equipment including furnaces. 
  • Fault Finding both Electrically & Mechanically (electrical bias)
  • Reporting to the Engineering Manager
  • This position is a Day time role working 40 hr week Monday – Friday with a 7am start
  • Once trained you will also be required to go onto the call out rota (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off). Call out and any overtime are paid at additional premiums.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineering Experience with an Electrical bias
  • Electrical Engineering Qualification.
  • Successful candidates must have experience working within a Heavy Industry environment and will ideally have worked with furnaces or have heat treatment plant experience. 
  • Heavy Engineering / Furnace / Foundry / Heath Treatment 

In return you will joining an existing team within a well established company in their field with a salary of up to £31,500 depending on skills and experience. There is also additional payments for call out and regular overtime opportunities. I am keen to discuss this position with Multi skilled, Electrically biased Engineers who hold experience within Heavy Industry Environments.

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will be joining a large, International heavy industry organisation based in the West Midlands. 
You will be undertaking reactive and breakdown maintenance on automated machinery and will be working on a 3 shift rota covering AMs/PMs + Nights  (Monday to Friday). 
 
The Role:

  •  In the role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will be undertaking both planned and reactive maintenance tasks to plant machinery across the facility as part of an Engineering team. 
  • You will be fault finding on PLCs and drives. You will also be involved in contributing to continuous improvement processes and the implementation of the preventative maintenance programme. 
  • You will be covering a 3 x shift rota consisting of rotating AMs + PMs Monday to Friday, and Nights Monday – Thursday.
  • This is a fantastic role if you are looking for development as there is the opportunity to work on a wide variety of heavy industry machinery in this position.

The Requirements:

  • To be considered for this Electrical Maintenance Engineer position you will need to hold a relevant Electrical Engineering qualification and will ideally be apprentice trained. 
  • You must also be able to demonstrate experience of working within a Maintenance role supporting plant and equipment within a manufacturing or production environment including fault finding on PLCs. 
  • You also need to have an indepth knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
  • I would be keen to speak with Multi skilled Maintenance Engineers who hold an Electrical bias, Electrical Engineers, or Heavy Industry Electricians.

Duties of a Maintenance Engineering Storeperson

As a Maintenance Engineering Storeperson you will be solely responsible for running the Engineering Stores which contain over 15,000 various engineering consumables and electrical / mechanical components that are used by the Maintenance Team on a daily basis.
