The CNC Operator - setter role will require you to:

  • Operate and maintain CNC machines 
  • Work with drawings and specifications
  • Tight tolerance experience
  • Able to understand the manufacturing process

Ideally the preferred CNC Operator will have the following background or experience:

  • Apprenticeship trained or equivalent
  • Previous experience on CNC lathes
  • Experience of Fanuc controls
  • Machines include – Daewoo, Puma and Miyano

Salary and Hours: 

  • £11 to £12.50 per hour, dependant on experience
  • Monday – Friday – 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm (rotating shifts on a weekly basis)

Commutable From: Birmingham, Worcester, Stratford, Bromsgrove and Droitwich.

Process Engineer Duties:

  • Development of new and current manufacturing processes and improving efficiencies, utilisation, and reduction / elimination of all waste forms
  • Lead and participate with the project teams for all process related activities form initial ideas to implementation of processes, including costs and budget controls

WORKSHOP ENGINEER

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Engineer for my client in the West Midlands.

This Workshop Engineers role will involve but not be limited to: 

  • Identify the equipment, investigate the fault and repair required.
  • Keep track of the job to ensure that it is completed in a timely manner.  
  • Carry out routine service inspections.  Report to the site contact, identify the equipment that requires the service. Upon completion of the service sheet inform the customer of imminent maintenance repairs that may be required or any 
  • Carry out Loler/Puwer maintenance and inspections.
  • When servicing/maintaining equipment, ensure that a parts requisition is completed for any damage, abuse or outside of contract repairs identified.
  • To complete a weekly timesheet detailing all jobs that have been worked on during the week ensuring that this balances with all service/job sheets.
  • To ensure all completed job sheets, service sheets and parts requisitions are completed in full in a comprehensive manner with correct authorisation where required.

Essential criteria for this Workshop Engineers role:

  • Apprentice trained/time served
  • Must be LOLER qualified with a valid ticket
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role

Hours and salary for this Aluminium Fabricators role:

  • Monday – Friday - 8am to 4.30pm with 30 mins for lunch
  • Salary - £16 to £21 per hour (DOE)
  • Overtime at 1.5x rate

  • Set-up and adjustment of material for folding at correct height.
  • Locating programs and adjust tonnage and tooling for each part being formed.
  • Provide feedback to Production Manager all jobs not meeting set-up and/or production standards.
  • Producing folded parts to drawings supplied, measuring with Vernier Caliper, Protractors etc.
  • Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.

  • This person will work well on their own and as part of a team.
