The Role

  • The Quality Engineer is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of all Quality documentation, procedures, testing and control of the manufacturing process.
  • You must be able to demonstrate that you are able to work and communicate effectively to all levels within the organisation, up to and including Directors. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer is responsible for improving and maintaining the Quality System to ensure Continuous improvement and Customer Satisfaction.

Commutable From: Birmingham, Leicester, Northampton, Banbury, Coventry, Hinckley, Leamington Spa

Salary and Hours

  • £35,000 - £40,000, negotiable, dependant on experience
  • 7:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week

Person Specification

The Quality Engineer will have a minimum 10 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment, with a minimum 5 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer

  • Excellent Knowledge of 5 core tools, APQP, SPC, Control Plans, FMEA, MSA. Green belt six sigma certified preferred
  • Engineering Qualifications with Audit experience
  • Experience of a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Ability to lead and make decisions, to support and develop a team to achieve results, to persuade and influence at all levels, to analyse and report data effectively and to understand and deliver strategies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills, able to adapt and respond to change, with the ability to achieve objectives and exceed expectations
  • Applicants must have a full UK driving licence

The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for driving Health, Safety and Environment awareness across the business. Person Specification

 

  • Previous hands-on experience as a Health & Safety Advisor / Health & Safety Manager within a manufacturing environment. Engineering experience would be highly advantageous
  • An understanding of chemical use, COSHH, PUWER and DSEAR
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Membership of IOSH (minimum Chartered), and to be fully conversant with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001
  • Strong practical understanding of relevant UK Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
  • Ability to lead and make decisions, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence at all levels and the ability to analyse and report data effectively

Key Responsibilities

 

  • The Health & Safety Manager will encourage innovative ways of working and challenging existing operational practices to continually enhance and drive HSE excellence. Supporting the creation and delivery of strategic HSE activities and supporting the delivery and revision of key site documentation
  • Responsible for frontline HSE advice across the site, owning and driving a culture of safety onsite and motivating, coaching and encouraging all personnel in HSE matters
  • To assist in ensuring that the business operates within its environmental permits and other permissions and that significant breaches and risks are brought to the company’s attention. Monitor and update the key schedules where specified

Requirements of a Reliability Centred Maintenance Manager

Ideally you will have climbed the maintenance ladder but must have a proven background in critiquing data that relates to OEE, MTBF & MTTR.

You really need to Excel with Excel to succeed in the role and be comfortable in presenting technical data at board level. 

Allied to your data analysis experience, you must also have a background in running PM, planning plant shutdown activity and CAPEX related projects, alongside managing and mentoring a multi-disciplined maintenance team within a complex manufacturing, process or production environment.

As the Maintenance Engineer – Mechanically Bias, your duties will include:

  • Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of the site to ensure production interruptions are kept to a minimum, in addition to working on the installation and commission of a new manufacturing facility.
