Reliability Engineer Duties: 

The Engineer will generally work autonomously on a Day-to-Day basis, but support will be in the department and at Senior Management level when required. 

The position will wear a number of hats and will support projects through the design and test phases, into production and then pick up post delivered product issues and faults from customers, when they arise. 

Working closely with the Design Team and Quality Department the role will perform the following daily duties:

  • Checking Engineering Drawings (Solidworks) 
  • Ensure Designs meet the required standards
  • Create Production Design / Process FMECA Reports 
  • Run Analysis Meetings
  • Be involved in Process Change Exercises 
  • Evidence / Data gathering reports 
  • Liaise will all Engineering, Suppliers and Customers 
  • Be the initial point of contact (Customer) 
  • Assessing the suitability of inspection methods 
  • Work closely with the company’s Quality Manager 
  • Understand Design / Production techniques 
  • Ensure design projects are correct, with the right dimensions and geometric tolerances
  • Be the point of contact for all product return issues. 
  • Working through and managing their own workloads and conducting various tasks, the right person will need to be able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. 

Reliability Requirements 

  • 5 Years+ experience of being in a Design Checking and Documentation type of role 
  • Good exposure of managing reliability reports and exercises 
  • A good working knowledge of products related to Engine, Powertrain, Moving Machinery or Driveline. 
  • Ideally a background in design and developing niche and bespoke products from concept through to final delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • A formal qualification in engineering

The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will lead a team of three manufacturing engineers within operations, in order to resolve build quality problems, improve tools, processes and ensure the smooth introduction of project related product changes and new features. Lead Manufacturing Engineer Person Specification

  • CAD experience would be highly advantageous

Lead Manufacturing Engineer Key Responsibilities

Being actively involved in the continuous process improvement within assembly/manufacturing, the Manufacturing Engineer will be a key figure in your ability to:

  • Identify and action waste elimination through response to Takt time variation
  • Define and implement build processes with consideration to appropriate Health & Safety and Quality standards
  • Ensure the support process documentation with particular attention to visual management techniques
  • Using a “hands on” approach you will proactively utilise both lean principles and problem-solving tools and techniques within the workplace to respond to “Takt time variation”, build quality issues
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing related problems, Cost of Quality concerns and issues raised by teams on Problem and Countermeasure boards, leading problem-solving teams where appropriate
  • Management of BOMs and material movement through plan for every part.
  • Develop ergonomic processes designed around Lean Manufacturing principles including Yamazumi and 5S.
  • Work with colleagues in all cross-functional projects to ensure smooth transition across the manufacturing facility. One Manufacturing Engineer will be nominated as the department’s representative on major projects and will be responsible for ensuring that all relevant information is transferred to the project team and back to the department.

We are seeking to recruit a proven Fitter to join an advanced manufacturing plant within the Maintenance and Production team.

As a Fitter you must be able to assemble complete machines and sub-assemblies to customer specifications, and to test completed equipment.

Fitter Salary and Benefits:

Planner / Scheduler Role Overview

  • Reporting to the Production Control Manager, the Planner / Scheduler will process requisitions for manufactured and bought out parts for Capital Projects, Spares orders and Customer Service contracts.
  • Case Entries/DMRs through the business – as and when required.
  • MRP suggestions for manufactured parts.
  • Provide support and production planning information to internal customers.
  • To carry out system housekeeping tasks to maintain data accuracy.

Planner / Scheduler Candidate Specification

  • MRP scheduling experience would be preferred but is not essential.
  • Attention to detail and an analytical approach to work.
  • Good IT skills; Excel knowledge to help in assessment/review of data.

  • Load Drawing Office Release lists into the business system and schedule accordingly.

  • Process stock requirements generated via MRP, along with processing Spares, Customer Service contracts and Capital Project requirements.

Lead Mechanical Development Engineer Key Responsibilities (this job description is not exhaustive; a full role description will be sent to you)

  • The Lead Mechanical Development Engineer will technically lead new product development projects from the feasibility phase through to implementation in production.
  • Work closely with other departments (Production, Production Engineering, Test and Validation, Purchasing, Quality, Product Management) during the new product development process to maximise the potential of new products with respect to design for manufacture and assembly, cost, performance, quality and reliability.
  • Preparation of manufacturing drawings and BOM’s using SolidWorks CAD and PLM software. When required, technically assess and implement design change requests related to the full product range.

Requirements of a Maintenance Manager 

  • Ideally you will have climbed the maintenance ladder but must have a proven background in critiquing data that relates to OEE, MTBF & MTTR.
  • You really need to Excel with Excel to succeed in the role and be comfortable in presenting technical data at board level.
