MATERIAL PLANNER

A role has become available for a Central Teams Material Planner within a well-known, large fast-paced manufacturing organisation that are at the leading edge of technology, giving them the edge over all of their rivals.

As the Central Teams Material Planner, you key focus will be to ensure continuous raw material supply to all sites within the UK.

Central Teams Material Planner Duties:

  • Ensure continuous raw material supply to all UK facilities
  • Maintain the MRP parameters to ensure stock held and ordered is within agreed parameters
  • Weekly supplier schedule releases
  • Report on daily supplier arrears
  • Analysis of top 10 materials by value to identify potential cost-saving activities
  • Management of supplier delivery slots and transport needs
  • Vendor management including raising of Non-Conformity Reports

Central Teams Material Planner Requirements:

  • You will be able to demonstrate relevant Material Planning experience from within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Extensive SAP experience will be required
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages, specifically Excel
  • This would suit a friendly, energetic individual

DUTIES OF PROCESS ENGINEER

  • Optimisation of existing processes and technologies
  • Identifying and driving process improvements
  • Utilising data mining for problem resolution
  • Root cause analysis
  • Provide support to new projects
  • Ensure handover of changes to the planning department to ensure smooth integration of new process and technology
  • Ensure adherence to Quality standards

REQUIREMENTS OF PROCESS ENGINEER

  • HNC minimum or equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • Experience of Process Engineering
  • Proven ability in machining, assembly, and test processes
  • High volume manufacturing would be beneficial however other areas of manufacturing are being considered
  • Outstanding analytical and reporting skills
  • Passion for engineering

DUTIES OF PRODUCTION MANAGER

  • Overall production responsibilities
  • 4 Teams reporting into you directly
  • Ensure that the equipment is performing at optimum efficiency

REQUIREMENTS OF PRODUCTION MANAGER

  • You will have relevant Production Management experience

DUTIES OF TOOLMAKER

  • Corrective, breakdown, and preventative maintenance on the Tooling
  • Respond swiftly to breakdowns
  • Die repairs
  • Repairs on welded jigs and fixtures
  • Tooling modifications and refurbishments
  • Ensure repairs are carried out to agreed timescales

REQUIREMENTS OF TOOLMAKER

  • Ideally, you will be Apprentice trained
  • To have worked in a busy Toolroom
  • Ideally, transfer and progression tooling knowledge
  • Both preventative and repair to existing tooling
  • Happy to work a Double Day shift, Monday to Friday
  • To be immediately available to start quickly

REQUIREMENTS OF PROCESS ENGINEER

  • Degree or equivalent
  • Relevant Process Engineer experience
  • Gained from preferably a high-volume dynamic working environment
  • A Mechanical aptitude
  • To have the ability to interpret and generate process documentation
  • A “can do” approach
  • Experience of engineering change
  • Layout and process flow knowledge

DUTIES OF MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

  • Provide support for Commercial, Technical and Production functions
  • Produce shop floor documentation for new or modified jobs
  • CNC Programming 
  • Prove out CNC programs
  • Design and produce part and tooling models using Delcam Powershape CAD package
  • Provide assistance with CNC Programs
  • Identification for areas of improvements to cycle times and cost reductions

REQUIREMENTS OF MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

  • It would be highly beneficial for you to have experience of Powermill and Powershape 
  • All CNC experience is considered
  • All controls experience will be considered, though it would be advantageous for you to have knowledge of FANUC / MAZATOL
  • To have completed an Apprenticeship
  • 3,4 & 5 axis milling machines
  • CMM Knowledge would be helpful though not essential
  • PC-DIMIS programming experience would be the cherry on the cake, but again, not essential
  • To be able to work from engineering drawings

  • Resolve issues with delayed shipping
  • Ensure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels

REQUIREMENTS OF LOGISTICS MANAGER

  • Qualification in Logistics, or Supply chain, or relevant field
  • You will have strong Logistics Management experience 
  • Ideally from within a facility where there is manufacturing
  • MRP literate
  • To have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment
  • A shop floor hands-on” approach
  • If you have previous experience of relocating warehouses, this will be of a distinct advantage
