Job Description

As the Accountant you will be working for a very well-established manufacturing business who have been established for over 40 years and are leaders in their field and have an outstanding reputation for the highest quality products!

This is a Temporary role for 3 Months.

As the temporary Accountant your duties will be varied, including:

  • Preparation of Management Accounts
  • Month End
  • Helping with Debtor desk and Accounts Payable
  • Cashbook reconciliation
  • Ownership of the P&L and balance sheet
  • Supporting the whole Finance function

  • You will be qualified or part qualified (ACCA or CIMA)
  • Previous experience of SAP is ESSENTIAL
  • You will need to have held a position of Accountant / Management Accountant previously
  • Extensive Knowledge and experience with Excel

As the Assistant Accountant your duties will include: 

  • Assist with producing of monthly management accounts to trial balance
  • Management and control of the cashbooks to bank statements on a daily basis
  • Management of Ledgers 
  • Reconciliations and Accruals / Prepayments
  • VAT return - Monthly
  • Monthly Intra-stat returns and EU sales list
  • Support with reparation of monthly / quarterly / yearly finance pack
  • Assist with Variance analysis

  • Previous Experience as an Assistant Accountant or within a management accounts function
  • Ideally you will be a Graduate in Accounting & Finance / AAT Qualified
  • You will be Part Qualified ACCA / CIMA
  • Computer literacy is very important including knowledge of Sage 200 and Excel
  • You will have a good understanding of the month end process
  • Professional, Analytical with a good attention to detail 
  • Excellent Organisational skills and communication skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

As the Export Specialist / Customer Service Administrator your duties will include: 

  • Coordinate the preparation of all export documentation.
  • Issuing Shipping Instructions
  • Plan dispatches for the week / month ensuring smooth deliveries 
  • Monitor production schedules, ensuring all deliveries are on time 
  • Receive customer orders and enter onto the MAP system and sending order confirmation to customers
  • Maintain Goods order forecasts on excel spreadsheets

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to

  • Specifying, designing and developing a new, user-focused website as per business needs
  • Support and maintenance of existing website and content, including the specification and development of new features
  • Other duties within skill set but not necessarily role scope as required (creative design input, attending meetings etc.)
  • Supporting and maintaining the existing website and developing it further using the latest standards and technologies

Person Specification 

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant subject
  • 2+ years’ commercial web development experience

  • Experience of developing sites in PHP, MySQL using OOP and MVC frameworks
  • Understanding of Google Analytics
