Duties:

  • Design and develop new automation and controls systems based on electrical and other engineering principles
  • Software based electrical and controls design using Solid works 2017 electrical
  • Software based 2D CAD design for project
  • Software based PLC and HMI design and commissioning, using Siemens S7 Pro and TIA V13/14/15
  • Motor based commissioning using Siemens starter including PLC integration
  • Software based configurable safety relay design and commissioning
  • Software based safety commissioning using e.g. Sistema
  • Ensure compliance
  • Provide support in pre-sales technical concept and provision of quotations
  • Manage automation and controls project operations and workflow
  • Purchasing relevant materials equipment to budget and specification

This is a high precision engineering company, with an International presence. 

As their Saw Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient, productive, safe and secure day to day operation as part of the Saw Team.

DUTIES OF A SAW OPERATOR:

  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with company Quality systems
  • Make sure all saws and equipment is maintained to the highest standards of safety through adherence to daily, weekly maintenance schedules
  • Taking care whilst using machinery and associated lifting and mobile equipment
  • Ensure the saw area is kept clean and tidy
  • Working 3 shift rotation
  • Complete external and internal work orders on time
  • Provide suggestions for improvements that will reduce cost and improve efficiencies
  • Self- inspection of products - using micrometers and verniers
  • Be prepared to upskill into other areas in the department, such as water-jet cutting

REQUIREMENTS OF A SAW OPERATOR:

  • Relevant Operating experience, ideally gained from within using Saws
  • To have gained your experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably tight tolerances
  • To have previous inspection experience
  • Metal cutting knowledge, saws, plates
  • To be able to use measuring equipment, such as verniers and calipers
  • Happy to work 3 shifts, 6/2, 2/10, 10/6

  • Ensure works orders are marked correctly and accurately – using ink / dot peen equipment.

  • Experience of running / setting Flow waterjet cutting machines.
  • Good mechanical engineering background.
