CMM PROGRAMMER & CALIBRATION ENGINEER

A highly reputable manufacturing organisation, with a well known brand, have a requirement for a CMM PROGRAMMER AND CALIBRATION ENGINEER so if you are an experienced CMM Programmer, local to the Telford area, with experience from within the manufacturing industry then thi sopportunity could be the next step on your career ladder.

There are many manufacturing processes producing a vast product range, supplying into many industry sectors, and you will be given responsibility for providing a comprehensive company-wide measurement services.

COMMUTABLE FROM Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Telford, Shrewsbury, Dudley, Kidderminster, Market Drayton, Bridgenorth and Stafford

DUTIES OF A CMM PROGRAMMER AND CALIBRATION ENGINEER

  • Control and maintain the calibration system and equipment
  • Produce reports supporting investigations and root cause analysis
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Creating CMM programmes (Mitutoyo MCOSMOS v 3.0)
  • Recommend improvement in measurement methods
  • Keep updated with new measurement techniques and equipment
  • Maintain calibration records
  • Working from engineering drawings
  • Ensure all gauges and equipment are calibrated

REQUREMENT FOR A CMM PROGRAMMER AND CALIBRATION ENGINEER

  • Strong knowledge of CMM experience to programming level
  • Mitutoyo and MCOSMOS would be beneficial, but other CMM experience is readily considered
  • In-depth knowledge of conventional methods of component measurement
  • The ability to read complex engineering drawings, covering aluminium castings, plastic mouldings, machined parts etc.
  • Knowledge of heat treatment and hardness testing
  • Experience of controlling calibration systems
