Maintenance Engineering Manager Role Benefits:

Duties of the Maintenance Engineering Manager include:

You will also be required to maintain and develop relevant engineering quality management systems in accordance with BS EN 9100, including preventative maintenance.  

  • You require previous knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering. 
  • The range of work is diverse, maintaining machinery and equipment used for drilling, pressing, plating, etching, printing, heating, laser cutting and electronic inspection. 
  • Supporting the general maintenance of the buildings and services. 
  • Preferably qualified to degree level but will consider experienced HNC/HND, or time served apprenticeship.

Requirements for Maintenance Fitter:  

  • Must be able to use initiative and work with and without work instruction.

  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical or Electrical 
  • Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer / Fitter 
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic experience 

Duties for Maintenance Fitter:

  • To provide Leadership in maintaining plant production capacity
  • Improvement in plant reliability
  • Promoting best working practices across shifts
  • Effective planning & training of resources
  • Maximise and sustain plant production levels

MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

I am looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a Precision Engineering company. This is a multi-skilled role that will include Maintenance on machinery and facilities both Electrical and Mechanical. 

This is a day’s role with hours either 8am-4.30pm or 10am-6.30pm with a package of:

  • Salary £35,000 depending on experience. 
  • 25 days holiday
  • Free Parking on site.

Along with an NVQ Level 3/ ONC/ City & Guilds the ideal candidate/ Maintenance Engineer must have previous experience with Electrical equipment including PLC controls and CNC machinery is desirable. 

The Maintenance Engineer role will include the following:

  • Provide preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment to ensure effective running.
  • Review TPM schedules to ensure operatives complete in a timely manner and inform Team Leaders of deficiencies
  • Report back to the Maintenance Supervisor & Manager on concerns regarding the operational status of machinery
  • Ensure, through regular checks; the power, lighting, LEV and water systems are maintained.

  • Able to read both Mechanical and Electrical Drawings. 
  • Great communicator as you will communicate at all levels within the team. 
  • Flexibility is key to this role. 
  • Apprentice trained holding a Formal Qualification in Mechanical Engineering. NVQ Level 3 – Mechanical engineering / City & Guilds Level 3 – Mechanical Engineering. 
  • Happy to work a Continental Shift.
