MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

I am recruiting a very exciting Maintenance Engineer opportunity for a client based in Grantham. 

As a Maintenance Engineer your role will be to carry out planned maintenance across the Factory and Wastewater Treatment Plant.

You will complete PPMs and PTIs onsite whilst always ensuring that there is a proactive approach to planned maintenance.

The shift pattern for this role is an 8-week rotation and includes 12-hour shifts covering days, nights & weekends 4 on 4 off.

We are looking for a dynamic person who has a good Engineering background along with a good understanding of H&S compliance and currently in a Maintenance Engineer role. A time served apprenticeship with associated Level 3 Qualifications minimum in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. 

We would be very keen to talk to Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers and Maintenance Electricians also that are based around Grantham, Sleaford, Bourne and Peterborough.

COMMISSIONING ENGINEER

Commissioning of food industry equipment and supervision of electrical installation on customers’ sites around the world to ensure that the equipment functions to the required specification and that quality and health & safety standards are met within the allocated time and budgeted cost.

This role is Peterborough based, but with extensive travel both within the UK and overseas. You must be able to work away from home base for extended periods of time, both in the UK and overseas - up to 75% travel around the world.

Commissioning Engineer Pay, Hours and Benefits

  • £45,000

Commissioning Engineer Candidate Requirements

  • Ideally, qualified to an Engineering degree or BTEC Higher Certificate in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Highly motivated individual with the ability to work alone but still be part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience of installing and commissioning food process equipment in either the Bread, Biscuit, Confectionery, Cereal, Snack or Industrial Extrusion sectors.
  • Customer focussed with excellent communication skills and a successful track record of developing customer relationships.

Commissioning Engineer Key Responsibilities

  • The Commissioning Engineer will commission machinery so that its mechanical, electrical, software and process functions perform to the contract specification.
  • Programming and fault-finding software for a variety of PLC platforms.
  • When required, to supervise other engineers on site either employed or contracted by client or by the customer.
  • Communicate with the customer throughout the commissioning stage of a project.
  • Produce a regular report of site activities detailing progress and highlighting any issues such as technical problems, site delays, customer’s comments etc. concluding in a debrief on return from site and a contract completion report.
  • The above to be carried out anywhere in the world for periods of up to 6 weeks to suit the needs of the business.
  • Support Technical and Customer Services in the office and on site.
  • Help research and develop new products in the Innovation Centre.
  • Assist with manufacture and testing of equipment within our factory.
  • To help research and develop new products in the Innovation Centre.
  • It is anticipated when you are not traveling that you will either be working in the factory, the Innovation Centre, Customer Services or in the Drawing Office.

MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

The Role

  • This position would suit a proven Project Manager, who ideally has some Construction exposure.
  • Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will undertake any reasonable requests required within the role.
  • Managing and coordinating projects and timetables within client’s contracts. Department to ensure all objectives are met safely within timescale, current legislation and budget.

Project Manager Person Specification

Project Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with the sales team to conduct the sales-contracts handover defining scope and objectives of each project.
  • Liaising with the client to arrange and undertake a pre-start meeting to ensure that scope and objectives are agreed.
  • Preparation and issuing a contract programme for agreement with all interested parties.
  • Ensure the Risk Assessments and Method Statements are compiled and issued to the client prior to commencing site activities.
  • Ensure site packs are compiled with all relevant LOLER, PUWER inspections present, and are compiled with all relevant drawings and specifications for the project.
  • Allocating the correct qualified labour resource to each managed project
  • Ensuring all materials are called off at the correct time and delivery instructions are correct.
  • Site visits as and when necessary to ensure objectives are being met by others.
  • Undertaking site inspections and safety walk rounds, compiling and issuing reports to interested parties
  • Monitor, report and update on projects throughout their progress.
  • Manage the handing over of projects to the client snag free and complete.
  • Undertake billing of the project either at milestones or when complete.
  • KPI’s will include - profitability of jobs comes to the tolerance of +/- 10% and contacting the customer - within 1 week of receiving the job from Contracts Manager.
