  • The successful candidate should have a strong CNC Turning background (previous experience in Doosan/Mori Seiki machines would be useful)

  • Salary - £29234 per annum – monthly paid
  • Monday – Friday – 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm and then 10pm to 6am (rotating shifts on a weekly basis)

Person Specification

  • The ideal candidate will have exceptional scheduling skills previously utilised in a heavy engineering / major construction environment. It is expected that the successful candidate would be capable of managing the general requirements of the task themselves. Supervision and guidance would be given initially from others.
  • The Project Planner will be involved in projects that are usually mechanically biased and can consist of the following phases: concept design, design analysis, detail design, procurement, manufacture, freight, installation, and commissioning. Along with resource allocation and cost monitoring. Projects can be at either enquiry/estimating stage or order stage.
  • Project value can be up to the region of US$20m. Final installation site could be in any worldwide location and would usually contain elements being sourced from different global locations, be this varied company facilities or sub-suppliers worldwide. It is essential that a workable strategy is implemented that enables regular, simple, and concise updates to be obtained from all parties involved that contribute to the execution of a successful overall project.
  • The Project Planner will have expert skill levels in both Microsoft Office suite, and Microsoft Project are mandatory. Superb communication abilities are also essential, relevant to telephone, email, and face to face. 
  • PMP certification or an interest in pursuing this would be advantageous although not essential.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • The Project Planner will create, manage, and monitor multiple project schedules and executive summaries simultaneously. Enabling reports to be distributed to clients and stakeholders in accordance with pre-agreements and/or contractual document submittal details. Any issues should be identified as they occur and communicated to the predefined project specific stakeholders.
  • A willingness to learn the business and its extensive product range is expected which may involve time spent on the shop floor. Similarly, an understanding of the relevant internal workflows and procedures would be expected in time.

Being actively involved in the continuous process improvement within assembly/manufacturing, the Manufacturing Engineer will be a key figure in your ability to:
