If you are a methodical engineer, with experience of MRPs/ SAP and are looking to use your continuous improvement skills, then look no further.  The business (a SME) with 60 years of manufacturing heritage is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the Engineering Team reporting to the Engineering Manager.

The role for the Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Evaluation of processes and suggesting change / continuous improvement
  • Co-ordinate Engineering changes in the manufacturing environment
  • Creating Material Masters, using MRP systems and setting MRP fields
  • Manufacturing costing
  • Using LEAN tools to improve processes, efficiency & productivity
  • Assisting with nesting and programming CNC Machines
  • Assist with new product development

The Manufacturing Engineer should:

  • Be able to use MRP systems or SAP
  • Be able to work with tight schedules
  • Be experienced with manufacturing processes
  • Should be excited by continuous improvement and creating change
  • Have an Engineering Qualification

CNC OPERATOR / CNC SETTER

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE

PERMANENT

£28,000 - £32,000 (NEGOTIABLE DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE)

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced CNC operator / CNC Setter to join a Nottingham based client who is offering; opportunities for overtime, personal protective equipment, paid breaks, clock in allowance, free parking on site, 21 days holiday + bank holidays and a 24/7 canteen.

The Company:

A reputable, prestigious, international manufacturing company who pride themselves on a skilled and friendly engineering workforce.

The CNC Operator / CNC Setter with be responsible for:

  • Operating and Setting CNC machines
  • Reading engineers’ drawings
  • Changing tool offsets
  • Working with different brands of machines
  • Measuring parts

The CNC Operator / CNC Setter should be:

  • Experienced with Fanuc controls
  • Experienced with lathing or milling
  • Experienced with various metals

Benefits:

  • The CNC Operator / CNC Setter will be required to work night shifts 4pm - 4am, Monday - Thursday, with 9 hours each week being paid at time and a quarter.
  • There will be ONE HOUR of PAID breaks each night, nightly clock in allowance.
  • Opportunity to do OVERTIME on a Friday night at time and a half for first 6 hours and double time for the remainder.
  • Salary: Negotiable Depending on Experience.

This role is commutable from Derby, Loughborough, Mansfield, Newark, Grantham
