Development Engineer Candidate Essential Requirements

  • Proven Development Engineer, with Applications Engineering experience.
  • A 2.1 degree in Mechanical engineering with Aerospace/Automotive/Energy/Oil & Gas background together with 3 to 5 years of demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge and experience of CAD & PDM (preferably SolidWorks) and FEA tools (preferably ANSYS Workbench and/or SolidWorks Simulation).
  • Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T. Ability to perform hand calculations for preliminary design, sizing, and stress assessment of static and rotating components.
  • Material selection ability and knowledge of conventional manufacturing processes.

Development Engineer Key Responsibilities

  • The Development Engineer will support the Chief Applications Engineer in providing timely response to new application and product enquiries for driveline components, and turnkey test rigs for testing high-speed rotating machines such as e-motors, generators, aero engines, gearboxes, turbines, compressors, pumps, turbochargers etc.
  • Produce innovative designs/ideas and create workable and cost-effective solutions.

Duties of a Systems Engineer 

  • The analysis of customer requirements, functional safety requirements, relevant legislation and standards to develop system requirement specifications.

  • Working closely with the Functional Safety Department to ensure the analysis and development of appropriate functional safety requirements.

Duties of a Software Engineer will include:

Design Engineer Duties:

  • The role will focus on supporting the design of tooling (Jig & Fixtures), equipment and process systems used within the facility. This will require 2D & 3D CAD design skills to develop solutions to solve immediate issues on the shop floor as well as long term efficiency improvements across the team
  • To take the design lead on the identification, design and manufacture of equipment’s used across the manufacturing facility. Identifying and sourcing technology improvements and being a key design resource during new product developments for the company.

The Electronic Engineer position will report to the Head of Engineering and will be the sole electronic biased engineer within a team of Product Design and Prototype Engineers. 

Duties of an Electronic Engineer will include:

  • The creation and development of battery management systems 
  • Ensuring battery management systems meet regulatory and company requirements for safety

Electronic Engineer Requirements:
