Person Specification:

  • You must have Audio Electronics experience, High Speed Electronics or very closely related experience
  • Degree in electronics or associated engineering subject
  • 1-2 years’ experience of electronic and/or mechanical design in a consumer audio or electronics environment
  • A demonstrable aptitude for electronics. Will have been interested in consumer electronics and circuitry, or mechanical construction/design as a hobby or in a previous role
  • Knowledge of CAD PCB design
  • Experience / Knowledge Used to working to tight deadlines, excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Someone with a passion for music / musical instrument would be advantageous

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • The input and modification of electronics schematics, with guidance from the Chief Engineer
  • The input and modification of PCB artworks using CAD, with guidance from the Chief Engineer
  • Building and testing of prototypes
  • Sourcing components for prototype production and testing
  • Writing and performing new product tests and recording/presenting results
  • Managing the approvals of products to international standards

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Provide a prompt and accurate response to technical enquires from all sources.
  • Confidently communicate technical information via telephone, email or other format satisfying customer requirements.
  • Receive and co-ordinate an appropriate response to MQL (Marketing Qualified Lead) enquiries, including technical advice, feasibility solutions and/or summarising of information for further processing.
  • Gather appropriate information from external customers to enable effective tracking of opportunities and eventual sale of company solutions.
  • Assess technical information received from internal and external sources summarising key parameters and describing customer to be passed to the design department for processing.
  • Build strong working relationships cross-functionally providing technical support to internal customers as required including external seal, design and customer services.
  • Use all technological tools provided by the company to accurately track work completed and opportunities with specific attention to CRM management.

Person Specification:

  • BEng or MEng degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or similar).
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively through various formats including telephone and email.
  • Capacity to assess design drawings and technical reports to extract the required parameters to provide support and/or produce a design.
  • Previous experience working within an office environment and/or within the civil engineering sector would be advantageous.
  • Capable of prioritizing own workload demonstrating flexibility and agility in a rapidly changing environment, ability to work on own initiative and plan own workload effectively. High level of computer literacy, use of design software, Microsoft office, CRM systems etc.
  • Enthusiasm to grow technical knowledge, keep up to speed with new developments and engage with academic/industry bodies. An awareness of Health and Safety and CDM 2015 regulations would be of benefit.
  • Capable of prioritizing own workload demonstrating flexibility and agility in a rapidly changing environment.

The Role of a Senior Design Engineer:

A vacancy for a Senior Design Engineer has now arisen to join the existing UK Design Team. The successful candidate will provide all design aspects of solutions in the UK and internationally. These solutions comprise feasibility assessment, detailed design, working drawings, specification, quantity estimate and material supply with professional indemnity insurance support. 

  • The successful candidate should be a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer with 5 years’ experience of geotechnical design work.
  • 4+ years’ experience of geotechnical pavement design work
  • Experience of slope stability assessment and retaining wall design, plus experience of Transport Sector including pavement design (ideally Highways sector) is desirable
  • Good interpersonal skills are essential
  • Experience with standard computer programmes and AutoCAD is also necessary as there will be a requirement for hands-on involvement in the provision of solutions within a collaborative team environment
  • The UK design office is central to the sales support and the ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure is of paramount importance.

MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER (GRADUATE / JUNIOR)

We are working with an engineering consultancy who are tasked to create a range of products for a myriad of industry sectors across the globe. Their products are designed, developed and tested to meet tough quality and reliability standards and to their own (ISO) in-house standards as well.

The company are looking to expand their team with a Junior Mechanical Designer, ideally someone who has recently graduated or completed an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering and has good exposure of a 3D CAD package with some experience of designing and modelling components, fabrications, and machine parts.

The role will be part of a small team and each project will often involve the complete design, test and prototype of a product, prior to being released for manufacture.

The right candidate will have a strong interest in mechanical design engineering, with the ability to calculate and problem solve mechanical issues. The position is best suited to someone who also has spent sometime in industry using 3D CAD, either as a placement year or time served.

If you are looking for a good 360 Hands-on position that will offer a 100% Design Engineering position from day one and also be part of the company’s aggressive Innovation and New Product Development plans, this would be a good position for you.

We are seeking to recruit an Engineering Manager (facilities) to join a component manufacturer for many of the world’s biggest industries. The ideal candidate must be able to manage contracts and contractors’ budget and manage plant safety and Maintenance support. The ideal candidate must hold certificates for Boilers and Water towers.

Duties for the role of Engineering Manager include:

  • Oversee and manage all the utilities and support services (all boilers, all compressors, air systems, all water systems, water towers, central vac systems, material expanders, vessels, material tanks, ovens, chimneys and sprinkler systems)
  • Arrange and oversee Pat tests of equipment
  • Arrange and oversee earth bonding in all areas
  • Support on electrical projects and machine panels
  • Communicate and report monthly, all developments and improvements on energy savings or waste from equipment
  • Manage the security of the site, including buildings, plant and equipment.
  • Drive and ensure compliance including ISO and Health & Safety Management Systems.
  • Work closely with site safety and environment officers so we are up to date on all activities, legionaries’ readings, risks assessments and insurances checks etc.

We will also be keen to talk too Facilities Managers, Engineering Supervisors, Facilities Engineers who would like to become a Manager in the future. This is a great role for an Engineering Manager with experience with facilities who prioritise Health and Safety, assess risks and take required action.
