This is a very diverse position, where you will primarily be responsible for outstanding customer service and support to their customers, whilst maintaining a supporting role to the wider Service Team where additional resource is required. Besides the proven Customer Support experience, you will need to be a guitar player / musician, with a good understanding of the brands and products of the musical instrument industry.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • The Customer Support Representative will offer customers exceptional customer service and product support
  • Responding to all external requests for support received via multiple channels within and agreed timescale
  • Communication with product users, UK dealers and international distributors
  • Proactive improvement of existing customer experience. Ownership of and upholding the Customer Service Charter, being a first point of contact for incoming calls to the business
  • Maintaining and developing the Company’s CRM and other contact tracking systems
  • Managing and despatching customer orders for client’s merchandise, Administering the online customer portal, organising product collections and deliveries

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • GCSE’s – minimum Grade C for English and Mathematics
  • Experience of customer contact in a service environment, Customer Support / Customer Service
  • Guitar player/musician, with a good understanding of the brands and products of the musical instrument industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an excellent grasp of the English language
  • Good numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong IT skills, with experience of troubleshooting resolving common problems independently
  • Experience in digital audio recording and using music software e.g., DAWs, plugins would be useful

Duties of a Systems Engineer

Systems Engineer – Requirements:

  • A formal qualification / Degree in a relevant science or Engineering disciplines. 
  • Experience of requirements analysis and management, preferably using dedicated requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Cradle, MKS).
  • Good experience of Configuration management Tools (e.g., MKS) 
  • Experience of systems design methodologies

Duties of a Software Engineer will include:

Dealing with embedded software for microcontrollers, using design practices and software life cycles in line with the ISO2001:2008 quality system and high integrity design standards. Providing close coordination of project activities throughout the duration of the project between both the development teams and the customer. 

  • The interpretation of system requirements in collaboration with systems and hardware engineers to generate software requirements using semi-formal methods. 
  • Develop Code implementation using C/C++ programming languages, assembly language and automatic code generation from modelled environments.

  • The use of Autosar BSW configuration and integration

Design Engineer Role Function

  • The Design Engineer will create new products and take responsibility from inception to final design within an agreed timeline.

R&D Technician Key Responsibilities (this job description is not exhaustive; a full role description will be sent to you)

Provide support to the R&D department, including;

  • Receive and organise parts/design data including components by maintaining build records and logs of engineering models and prototypes 
  • Organising and collaborating with Production for build processes such as brazing and welding.
  • Work closely with Production Engineering, sub-contractors and suppliers when necessary.
  • Occasionally inspect parts and/or work with Goods In department to ensure parts are correct to drawing.
  • Assemble components, engineering models and prototype meters.
  • Design (using Solidworks) and manufacture basic jigs, fixtures and assembly tools utilising our range of prototyping equipment (e.g 3D printing)

The R&D Technician will take ownership of the R&D lab;

  • Organising tools and equipment including managing and operating the rapid prototype printers. Process and submit print requests, maintain the stock of consumables. (Training will be provided)
  • Maintaining clean, tidy, organised and functional lab environment.
  • Specifying and proposing lab equipment to fulfil requirements of testing when necessary in cooperation with R&D Engineers
  • Assist with maintaining the stock of raw materials (e.g. metal/ plastic sheet, bar and tube etc.) and hardware.
  • Assist with maintaining the stock and safe storage of hazardous materials. Work in cooperation with the HSE department. (e.g. Keep a record of all hazardous materials being stored with associated COSHH and MSDS documents)
  • Assist with maintaining and operating laboratory equipment (e.g. oven/furnace, environment chamber, winding machine, microscopes, liquid nitrogen equipment etc.)
