DUTIES OF THE QUALITY ENGINEER

  • Monitor internal and customer’s KPI’s and taking corrective action where necessary
  • Manage stock transactions through SAP
  • Answer customer concerns
  • Support resolution
  • Analysis of rejects
  • Explore process improvements
  • Implement deviations for supplier quality requests
  • Maintain Control plans
  • Prepare and submit PPAP’s
  • First off samples management
  • Verification of quality of parts

REQUIREMENTS OF A QUALITY ENGINEER 

  • Good knowledge of customer specific requirements
  • To have gained relevant quality experience within manufacturing
  • Experience of calibration and measurement devices management
  • Supplier management experience
  • Good knowledge of PPAP’s, APQP and FMEA
  • Happy to work a combination of morning and afternoon shifts

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A MATERIAL PLANNER - LOGISTICS

  • Ensuring supply of production materials into the production area
  • Management of semi-finished and finished materials to the customers
  • Reducing transport freight costs
  • Scheduling
  • Working closely with Purchasing, Finance, Engineering, Production and Quality teams
  • Ensure parts are set up correctly, maintained and planned
  • Active involvement in continuous improvements

STOCK CONTROLLER

This is your opportunity to join a business that has grown to be known as a specialist and successful manufacturer and supplier to hundreds of customers and projects in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors.

From their Leicester HQ, they have invested significantly in plant and resource so that they have the best in manufacturing processes and supply operation.

The Stock Controller Benefits include:

  • Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm
  • £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
  • Pension Scheme (After 3 months)

Key Responsibilities

  • To set up and run a PI plan for warehouse operations to physically count
  • Make sage stock adjustments from submitted counts
  • Investigate and correct stock issues, checking sage/physical stock discrepancies and fill in a summary report
  • Sorting and labelling locations
  • Investigating when ‘Free Stock’ appears and amending sage, completing summary report
  • The Stock Controller should be able to Organise yearly stocktake

Candidate Specification

  • The Stock Controller should demonstrate excellent computer skills
  • Should have a knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • The Stock Controller should have Sage Experience
  • At Least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Attention to detail is essential 

Bill of Material (BOM’s)

  • Analyse BOM to ensure the material is correct.
  • Ensure the times within each process are correct
  • Working with the production team to ensure BOM details are updated to reflect current operations

PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR

Press Brake Operator Key Responsibilities

  • Set-up, adjust and prepare press brake (Current machines) Amada, Edwards Pearson.
  • Finding correct tooling/program per set-up.
  • Check the heights of tooling and adjust back stops etc. along with light guards.
  • Set-up and adjustment of material for folding at correct height.
  • Locating programs and adjust tonnage and tooling for each part being formed.
  • Provide feedback to Production Manager all jobs not meeting set-up and/or production standards.
  • Producing folded parts to drawings supplied, measuring with Vernier Caliper, Protractors etc.
  • Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.

Press Brake Operator Specification

  • This person will work well on their own and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • He/she will need to be well driven.
  • The appropriate person must have a keen eye for detail, and ability to read drawings.
  • They must have pride in their work and maintain a tidy safe workspace.
  • Must be reliable, and physically fit.
  • Good mathematical ability and able to use measuring devices such as Vernier callipers and protractors.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced-team environment.

  • Using a CAM system or CADCAM system

  • Experience with Hydraulics & Pneumatics 
  • ABB Robot programs 
  • To maintain all plant, equipment and facilities, supporting production with repairs in the event of breakdown and any installation work, also to support all continuous improvement work as required throughout the facility.
  • Responsible for completing planned maintenance schedules, ensuring all machines are handed back to production, safe and fit for purpose, complete relevant paperwork and report and rectify any faults found over and above the schedule.
  • Responsible for the inspection, fault finding and rectification of problems to equipment and hand back the equipment safe and fit for purpose, complete relevant paperwork and inform production and management of any impending failure to the plant ensuring that equipment is safe at all times.
  • To carry out electrical and mechanical isolations for employee’s safety and follow current regulations and guidelines applicable to the position.
  • Work with departments to plan and prioritise work.
  • Manage the CMM system
  • Implement continuous improvement plans and projects.
  • Ensure good housekeeping.
  • Generate reports as and when required for the Operations Manager.
  • Assist in ensuring the plant is a safe and healthy place to work by carrying out the actions of the HSE Committee and workplace inspections as directed by the Operations Manage
