Are you a Quality Engineer or a Customer Quality Engineer who is looking to take the next step in your career?

Company:

Our client is an industry leading Tier 1 client who are looking for a Quality Engineer who has a background in Automotive to join them as their business continues to grow and provide outstandingly high quality products.

Duties:

  • As Customer Quality Engineer you will be responsible for customer facing activities and Customer Liaisons
  • You will be responsible for NPI and Launches along with delivering PPAP and APQP in line with Customer Requirements
  • Provide quality reports based on Customer performance in order to aid CI activities
  • As Customer Quality Engineer you will be assigning tasks to the Quality Team

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a quality engineering role and ideally with some experience being customer facing
  • Background in Automotive (Tier 1/2)
  • Experience with PPAP, APQP, PFMEA and Control Plans
  • Experience dealing with Customers
  • You will need to be open to Planned Travel around the UK but this is Minimal

This is an outstanding facility, plenty of investment and commitment has been given to this facility.  Due to continued demand for their products, this has created a need for an experienced Quality Systems Engineer

 

DUTIES

 

  • Lead all aspects of Divisional Quality and assurance adherence
  • Ensure QMS compliance
  • Delegate tasks to the quality team
  • Identification of training needs and lead training activities
  • PPAP’s and APQP
  • Co-ordination of New Projects & Launch support
  • Manage product conformity and supplier improvement activities
  • Site audits
  • Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
  • Liaise with 3rd party inspection teams to ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Manage CMM activities
  • Conduct measurement studies and compile statistical reports

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • It is essential that you will have gained your experience from within a fast paced manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
  • Good working knowledge of quality systems, ideally IATF 16949
  • Flexibility to travel within the UK
  • Full driving licence essential
  • Strong communication skills
  • To have excellent presentation skills
  • A good standard of IT literacy

  • Analysis of dimensional reports generated by CMM

REQUIREMENTS

  • To have gained relevant Quality engineering experience from within a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of APQP and PFMEA
  • Control Plans and strong problem-solving techniques
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 would be highly advantageous
  • You may be either an experience Quality Engineer, looking for better prospects, or a Quality Engineer, looking for that next step up the career ladder.
