MAINTENANCE PLANNER / CMMS COORDINATOR

Job Description

Due to continued expansion we are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Planner to join our established process engineering business that has a presence across the UK. 

Duties of a Maintenance Planner 

You will be required to support the maintenance team in providing technical support and plant related project planning, whilst also championing the use of preventative maintenance strategies.

The role will initially see you spending some time undertaking both planned and reactive maintenance within the plant as part of the maintenance team. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and co-ordinate all maintenance activities ensuring adequate resources are available
  • Liaise with the Senior Maintenance Team Members for equipment availability
  • Manage and update the CMMS system 
  • Ensure Risk Assessments/Method Statements are complete
  • Manage maintenance contracts and site inspection plans
  • Provide maintenance records for Quality audits
  • Produce and review weekly and monthly planning figures and present results
  • Support maintenance team with other activities such as arranging plant specific training

Requirements of a Maintenance Planner

  • To succeed in the role you must hold either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualifications to either a City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 and must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 2-3 years' experience of maintenance planning within a manufacturing, production or process environment.
  • You must also be able to demonstrate significant experience administering a CMMS system, be IT literate and confident working with Engineering and Production staff.

  • Small elements of design work. Plans are produced by the Design Engineer but may need to be altered on site at short notice. These alterations will be the responsibility of the Fire & Security Installation Engineer.
  • Maintaining high levels of customer service and satisfaction
  • Completing installation and upgrade projects in a timely manner whilst maintaining quality standards

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar installation role
  • Exposure to various CCTV, Access Control, Intruder and Fire Alarm systems
  • Competent Engineer capable of independent working
  • Willingness to travel around the Berkshire, Bucks, Surrey, West London areas
  • Full, clean driving license
  • Ability to pass a CRB check

Duties of a Graduate Maintenance Engineer

You will be required to support the maintenance team in providing technical support and plant related project planning, whilst also championing the use of preventative maintenance strategies.

The role will initially see you spending some time undertaking both planned and reactive maintenance within the plant as part of the maintenance team. However the focus will be on developing your maintenance planning skills, with the long term view of you becoming (with training & development) a key part of the UK Engineering Management Team. 

Requirements of a Graduate Engineer:

To succeed in the role you must hold a Degree in either an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline and have either:- 

Held some form of “hands on” maintenance role where you have undertaken both planned and reactive maintenance to plant and equipment within either a Manufacturing, Process or Production environment. 

OR 

Managed or supported in the management of the scheduling and planning of maintenance activities utilising one of the mainstream CMMS packages such as Maximo, SAP or Shires.

We are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Engineering Storeperson to support our plant maintenance and reliability team at our operation within the London region.

Duties of a Maintenance Engineering Storeperson

As a Maintenance Engineering Storeperson you will be solely responsible for running the Engineering Stores which contain over 15,000 various engineering consumables and electrical / mechanical components that are used by the Maintenance Team on a daily basis. 

The stores system at present is going through the process of being automated, therefore if you have experience of working CMMS software such as SAP, Shires or Maximo you will feel at home.

Requirements of a Maintenance Engineering Storeperson

To be successful in your application you must: - 

  • Have previous experience running a Stores Department within an Engineering, Manufacturing or Production Environment.
  • Have experience of working with Computerised Stores Systems.
  • Have experience of performing and logging Stock Audits    
  • Must be Pc literate.
