A highly successful, steel fabrication company who are currently thriving are looking for a new team member to join the team reporting to the Production Manager, on all matters associated with quality. 

The company operates across multiple sectors including rail, infrastructure, and energy. The Company is continually looking to exceed quality expectations and require an experienced Quality Inspector to ensure the Quality assurance of all projects/products produced is maintained and achieved, with a particular emphasis on dimensional and quantity checks during production and prior to dispatch.

  • Monday – Thursday, 7:45am to 4:45pm, 2:15pm finish on Fridays

Roles & Responsibilities for the Quality Inspector:

  • Perform Quality Control inspections
  • Perform spot check paint and galvanising thickness checks
  • Document results of quality control inspections and report back to production for improvement
  • Raise non-conformances with supervisor
  • Liaise with management on all matters involving quality
  • Take part in production meetings
  • Perform customer visits and inspections when required

Skills Required:

  • Must be from heavy structural steel fabrication and welding background
  • Strong knowledge of Steel Fabrications
  • Ability to read structural steel drawings
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work alone and in a team
  • Welding Inspector Qualifications
  • Fabrication & Welding Qualifications
