Skills Required of the EDM Setter / Operator / Programmer:

  • Experienced machinist with EDM
  • Ability to use CNC die Sink and CNC milling machine
  • Capable of using wire EDM, setting and operating and programming with fanuc
  • Ability to use hand and bench tools
  • Ability to read Engineers drawings
  • Quality Inspection skills (Vernier callipers, gauges, micrometers)

Key Responsibilities

  • The Estimator will have the ability to read technical tender drawings, extracting and pricing materials including labour pricing for fabrication.

Salary and Hours 

  • £30,000 - £35,000 negotiable, dependant on experience
  • Monday – Thursday, 7:45am to 4:45pm, 2:15pm finish on Fridays

This opportunity is for an experienced toolmaker, who is time served or apprentice trained, that is looking for a new challenge in a highly successful company that manufacture plastic injection moulded products that are supplied into the food and building industry; industries that remain successful during this challenging time. 

This highly successful toolmaker will be joining the currently successful toolroom team where they will be reporting into the toolroom supervisor.

  • Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Experience with CNC Machining centre would be beneficial (not essential)

DUTIES OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICES MANAGER

  • Champion improvement activities
  • Regular contact with customers and agents, covering all aspects of customer service
  • Lead and manage the Customer Service Department
  • Negotiate and deal with major International Customers, freight companies, Government agencies and auditors
  • Ensure all legal duties relating to supply and transport of dangerous goods, drug, and chemical weapons
  • Travel to visit customers, agents and exhibitions when required

REQUIREMENT OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICES MANAGER

  • You will have a strong understanding of the exportation of goods across borders, duty, and incoterms in the post-BREXIT age

DUTIES OF THE SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER

  • On a day- to- day basis, manage/organise the Quality Engineer/s 
  • Ensure that all Quality Engineers are trained and ensuring that they work together as a team.
  • Co-ordinate the receipt, response and monitoring reports from the customer ensuring containment action is taken
  • Root cause analysis
  • Provide technical / quality support to manufacturing in order for them to be able to produce efficiently and to the correct quality requirements. 
  • Ensure Quality process audits are carried out/monitored against schedule and corrective/preventative actions are implemented. 
  • QS9000, APQP, PPAP, FMEA and other Quality Reporting Systems. 
  • Ensure that all quality related documentation is completed accurately
  • Liaise with the Quality Manager in order to identify, recommend and source new equipment. 
  • Ensuring quality standards are maintained. 
  • Communicate and co-ordinate Quality data/results/findings and 8D’s quality information amongst all internal departments in order to ensure compliance. 
  • Provide support in the preparation and maintenance of documentation and systems in order to comply with IATF/ISO9001. 
  • Co-ordinate, maintain and interpret statistical information supplied by customers, internal sources, suppliers and contractors 
  • Ensure that product inspection procedures, reports and documentation are accurately completed 
  • Ensure FMEA and Control Plan are regularly reviewed 
  • Review on a regular basis when 8D’s, APQP or any other product or process changes/concerns occur. 

REQUIREMENT OF THE SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER

  • It is essential that you can demonstrate significant Senior Quality Engineering experience
  • You will have gained your experience from within a high- volume manufacturing environment
  • Fully experienced with the use of Quality tools, such as APQP, SPC, Control Plans and Root cause analysis
  • 8D problem solving 
  • A proactive problem solver

An immediate START is available for a Setter on Plastic Injection Mould Machine within a busy manufacturing organisation.

DUTIES

  • Provide tool change and run Injection mould machines
  • Optimising set conditions
  • Ensure all tool changes are completed on schedule
  • Comply with spares tracking process
  • Involvement of continuous improvement projects
  • Working 3 shifts Monday to Friday

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ideally, you will be Apprentice trained though not essential
  • To have relevant Setting experience of Plastic Injection Moulding machines
  • It would be beneficial to have knowledge of conventional and non-conventional moulding processes (gas injection, LPIC, Dynamic Feed, Twin shot 2k shot)
  • Knowledge of SMED
  • Happy to work 3 shifts

Probe Technical Recruitment is looking to recruit a Maintenance Electrician on behalf of a company who has spent a lot of money in investment for the next few years. The role of Maintenance Electrician will be to manage the maintenance and improve all fixed plant and facilities; assist in the preventative maintenance to ensure maximum availability, performance, and quality.

The shifts are 5 on 5 off, 4on 4 off, so work 14 days in a 28-day period and a package of:

  • Salary £41,700 
  • 23 days holiday at 12 hours which is very competitive.

Along with an NVQ Level 3/ ONC/ City & Guilds the ideal Maintenance Electrician must have previous experience with industrial Electrical kit.

  • To maintain the plant so as to produce product at world class levels of performance, quality and cost
  • To maintain the plant through breakdown repair and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives on site to help improve the OEE of the plants.

Role Function

Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the function of this role is to assist in controlling, monitoring, recording and analysing costs and resources relating to company contracts and enhancing the value of contracts through effective financial control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out contract reviews, conduct valuations and the pricing of variations
  • In conjunction with the Contracts Manager prepare and monitor client accounts, along with conducting measurements and surveying duties on site
  • Carry out cost value reconciliation’s (profit and loss), preparation of contract documents. Check job costings against quoted figures, chase agreement on prices
  • Development of knowledge relevant to contract conditions
  • Chase instructions and ensure we have received written instruction from Project Manager (authority signature). File manual site instructions and keep electronic filing folders
  • Meet with Client (QS) on weekly/fortnightly/monthly basis as project requires
  • Ensure applications are completed on time with Contracts Manager and are issued to commercial. Agree final account with Contracts Manager
  • Liaise with other subcontractors employed by the Company and negotiate with the client and members of the professional team. Calculate accounts and actively negotiate final accounts and payments
