Duties of the Quality Manager

  • Develop and maintain quality systems

SHEQ Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented/followed
  • Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports suggesting improvements
  • Periodically monitor and update the company training matrix and organise training as required
  • Support the investigation of accidents and near misses and produce relevant statistics
  • Keep up to date all company ISO annual accreditations
  • Periodically review risk assessments for work activities and ensure these conform to the relevant guidance
  • Set up/attend H&S representative meetings. Each month you will report findings of internal audits and any significant H&S issues to the monthly senior management meeting
  • The SHEQ Manager may be required to deliver toolbox talks to the staff should we have a significant H&S incident

Quality Manager Role

Client is a specialist engineering, design and manufacturing company with a worldwide reputation as an innovator in low volume, high performance solutions, across various industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy and oil & gas.

Taking ownership of the Quality department, the Quality Manager will be responsible for maintaining the quality management system and leading the development of a progressive culture within the business. Person Specification

  • At least 5 years' experience operating as a Quality Manager, preferably within an engineering environment
  • Must be a good communicator, ability to influence with excellent fluency in spoken and written English
  • Self-starter, effective time manager and a positive and supportive line manager
  • Assertive, with diplomatic skills and a good appreciation of business and commercial needs
  • Understanding of precision engineering, machining, measurement and special processes is preferred
  • Report writing and presentation skills and proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Crystal report writing skills or ability to extract information from databases is desirable
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing systems (MRP)
  • Membership of professional body Chartered Quality Institute is preferred

Junior Project Coordinator Person Specification

  • Qualified to degree/ HND level or above in Electronics, Acoustics or Music Technology-based subjects.
  • Experience in a project management role or similar, with experience working in a target driven environment and working to deadlines.
  • The Junior Project Co-ordinator will be a guitar player, and confident with the setting up of amplifiers etc.
