REQUIREMENTS OF THE LOGISTICS MANAGER

  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques, 
  • SAP exposure would be beneficial but not essential

DUTIES OF LOGISTICS MANAGER

  • Manage the warehouse relocation project
  • Monitor transportation
  • Arrange transportation and schedule staff
  • Coordinate Warehouse utilisation
  • Oversee Inventory of goods and materials
  • Using computerised inventory software
  • Identify areas for improvements
  • Resolve issues with delayed shipping
  • Ensure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels

REQUIREMENTS OF LOGISTICS MANAGER

  • Qualification in Logistics, or Supply chain, or relevant field
  • You will have strong Logistics Management experience 
  • Ideally from within a facility where there is manufacturing
  • MRP literate
  • To have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment
  • A shop floor hands-on” approach
  • If you have previous experience of relocating warehouses, this will be of a distinct advantage

DUTIES OF SENIOR LOGISTICS ANALYST

  • Take a Lead role in the day to day running of the Logistics Department
  • Deputise for the Logistics Manager
  • Drive forward the Logistics and Despatch areas with new strategies in a changing environment

REQUIREMENTS OF SENIOR LOGISTICS ANALYST

  • Qualification in either Freight Forwarding or Materials Management Diploma level or equivalent
  • Strong experience from within a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Previous Supervisory experience would be advantageous
  • SAP knowledge 
  • Sales and Distribution knowledge
  • Freight forwarding experience

  • Experience with both Electrical and mechanical parts 
  • Able to read Electrical drawings 
  • Experience with the following: Hydraulics & Pneumatics / PLC systems / Shredders and Granulators / Single and 3 Phase systems / Temp Controllers and pressure controllers 
  • Fault-finding abilities on PLC’s – Siemens preferably 
  • Must be Apprentice trained holding a formal qualification in Electrical engineering HNC / City & Guilds 
  • Minimum of 5 years-experience 
  • Hold great attention to details / be highly motivated / keen to join a busy organisation / Also keen to take on Overtime.

I am currently working for a leading Manufacturing organisation based in Lancashire, we are assisting this organisation in their search for a Multi-Skilled maintenance engineer – Mechanical biased to join their already established maintenance team. This is an opportunity for a Driven individual who hold great attention to detail.

  • Basic Electrical abilities would be at an advantage. 
  • Experience with: Gearboxes / Conveyor systems / Rollers / Basic electrical abilities would be at an advantage. 
  • Attention to detail / Confident and driven 
  • Apprentice trained holding a City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical engineer. 
  • Previous experience within Packaging or manufacturing environments.
