PRODUCTION MANAGER

As the Production Manager, you will be reporting into the Technical Manager, and you will be a key member of the Senior Management team, offering direction and motivation to your team.

Part of your remit as Production Manager, will be to ensure achievement of internal and external quality expectations are me and exceeded.

Production Manager Duties:

  • Management of the Production Supervisors to achieve required levels of output, efficiency, quality and Service
  • Oversee the Operational Supervision to ensuring that efficient processes are developed and maintained
  • Identification of training needs and ensure that local training and development plans are prepared
  • Follow up non-conformance
  • Ensure adequate training is provided
  • Lead by example in all areas
  • Development of strong relationships both with customers and peers
  • Maintain and improve disciplines, standards and working practises in the facility

Production Manager Requirements:

  • Production Management experience gained from within a manufacturing environment
  • It would be beneficial if you have worked in a continuous improvement type culture
  • To have previously set KPI’s
  • As this is an expanding, busy organisation, this would suit a lively, friendly, natural leader, who thrives under pressure

DUTIES OF MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

  • Provide support for Commercial, Technical and Production functions
  • Produce shop floor documentation for new or modified jobs
  • CNC Programming 
  • Prove out CNC programs
  • Design and produce part and tooling models using Delcam Powershape CAD package
  • Provide assistance with CNC Programs
  • Identification for areas of improvements to cycle times and cost reductions

REQUIREMENTS OF MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

  • It would be highly beneficial for you to have experience of Powermill and Powershape 
  • All CNC experience is considered
  • All controls experience will be considered, though it would be advantageous for you to have knowledge of FANUC / MAZATOL
  • To have completed an Apprenticeship
  • 3,4 & 5 axis milling machines
  • CMM Knowledge would be helpful though not essential
  • PC-DIMIS programming experience would be the cherry on the cake, but again, not essential
  • To be able to work from engineering drawings

REQUIREMENTS OF MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

  • You may be a Quality Engineer, looking to expand your role to include Manufacturing Engineering or you may be a Manufacturing Engineer, looking for more involvement in Quality
  • This is a high precision engineering organisation, and your experience should be relevant to manufacturing
  • To have the ability to close complex or minor quality issues
  • Data driven 
  • This would suit a customer facing sort of personality
  • Any CMM experience would be beneficial though not essential

  • To have the ability to work off your own initiative

  • Experience of engineering change
  • Layout and process flow knowledge

  • Fault-finding abilities on PLC’s – Siemens preferably 
  • Must be Apprentice trained holding a formal qualification in Electrical engineering HNC / City & Guilds
