MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

We have a Fantastic 3-Day Shift opportunity for a Mechanical maintenance engineer seeking a opportunity to join a Leading Manufacturing organisation based in Lancashire. 

The Mechanical maintenance engineer’s position is commutable from the following locations: Blackburn / Preston / Burnley

Shift the maintenance engineer will be required to work: Weekend – Friday & Saturday 6am till 7pm and Sunday 6am till 6pm 

Requirements and Responsibilities the Mechanical maintenance engineer will have: 

  • Previous experience to be held in a Foundry or CNC Environment. 
  • Experienced in Planned and Preventive maintenance 
  • Ideally Multi-Skilled – Mechanically biased – holding a slight electrical ability. 
  • Experience with Hydraulics & Pneumatic 
  • Previous experience with CNC Machinery / Conventional machines
  • Ideally holding some fault-finding abilities on PLC / AC Drives and Servo drives 
  • Welding abilities would also be at an advantage 
  • Knowledge on Robotics would be ideal 
  • We are looking for an Apprentice trained maintenance engineer 
  • Holding a City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical engineer / NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical engineering

  • Understanding of BSEN 12845, BS9251, NFPA, FM global standards
  • Competency with FHC or other hydraulic calculation packages
  • Happy to travel to different parts of the UK at times
