This is an opportunity to join a Global manufacturer in the role of Maintenance Supervisor where you will be joining an expanding Engineering team within a Heavy Industry environment.

The Return on Offer for a Maintenance Supervisor:

  • This large Manufacturer currently work a range of shift patterns and operate 24/7. There is flexibility offered around the hours worked and we can offer permanent Days, AMs/PMs, 3 x shifts, and continental shifts.
  • The salary offered will be between £40,000 - £45,000. In addition, there is 5% employer pension scheme, up to 5 weeks holiday + Bank Holidays and company bonus.

The Role of a Maintenance Supervisor:

  • You will be joining a very successful organisation who are growing their Engineering team to lead and oversee Engineers across the site.
  • Reporting to the Engineering Manager, as part of a team of Supervisors, you will lead the Maintenance Engineering and Site services department to implement and refine systems to improve overall efficiency of this large 24/7 factory.
  • This is a “Hands On” role where, with your team of Engineers, you will ensure the maintenance of plant and machinery throughout the site is operating efficiently.
  • You will lead on breakdowns, audit safety systems, monitor the stores and lead on continuous improvements.
  • You will also be responsible for the implementation of Planned Maintenance within your department.

The Skills Required of a Maintenance Supervisor:

  • This is a fantastic opportunity for an Engineer with experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Team leader who is looking for further development.
  • You will need to hold a relevant Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification and have experience of Maintaining machinery within a Heavy Industry manufacturing setting.
  • Candidates with either a Mechanical or Electrical bias are welcome to apply, multi skilled Engineers will also be considered.

Based in Hereford, this position is commutable from Worcester, Gloucester and surrounding areas.

  • An understanding of basic mechanical and/or electrical engineering principles and previous maintenance or a service engineering background.
  • Strong background in a field-based customer support role.
  • A basic experience of working within remote diagnostic, technical support solutions in a customer support environment is desirable.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Good level of multi-skilling (electrics, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc...).
