Ideally the right CNC Setter / Turner will have experience with: CNC Lathes Mazak Controls, CNC Lathes with B Axis / Y AXIS / Multi AXIS turning Centres 

Additional Skills Required for CNC Setter / Turner role: 

  • Proven experience with Programming setting and operating Mazak CNC lathes.
  • Confident with Mazak (Mazatrol) controls.
  • Experience of multi axis turning centres.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineers’ drawings and tolerances.
  • Experience working with various metals including exotic grade alloys.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ideally they will be Apprentice trained – holding a Formal qualifications in Engineering.

DUTIES OF HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUPERVISOR

  • Inspect and assess the environment, equipment, and processes
  • Responsibility for implementing the safety and environmental culture and maintain ISO 14001:2015 on all 3 sites
  • You will be the main point of contact for all the authorities and legal agencies
  • Establish new contract with subcontractors for environmental issues, (GHG/CO2 emissions, measurements, waste management)
  • Lead accident investigations, or near miss
  • Lead investigations of any environmental discrepancies, in terms of emissions, waste, pollution and spills
  • Organise and coordinate internal and external audits
  • Risk assessments
  • Propose short and long-term (five- year plan) safety and environmental objectives

REQUIREMENTS OF HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUPERVISOR

  • NEBOSH required
  • Health and Safety experience at a Senior Level

Production Planner Candidate Specification

  • Experience of production planning processes, ideally gained in a steel fabrication setting or working within a manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to accurately update and maintain management information systems, ideally experience of using StruMIS preferred (but is not essential).
  • Confident in using Excel spreadsheets with the ability to learn and use new IT systems.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise and schedule workloads.
  • Read and understand Engineer’s Technical drawings.
  • The Production Planner will have an understanding of supply chains and associated lead times.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Production Planner will control the workflow through the shopfloor, by co-ordinating the material to support production.

  • Lead initiatives to create and effectively utilise planning strategies to drive the production scheduling requirements.
