This is an opportunity for you to join a highly successful Manufacturing business based in Droitwich as a Toolmaker. Working Double Days – Monday to Friday within a well established company. Long-term prospects look fantastic, and you will be joining a friendly team

In exchange for their expertise the Toolmaker will receive:

  • A Competitive salary in the region of £35,000 depending on experience.
  • Working rotating Double Day shifts 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm Mon – Fri

Key Roles & Responsibilities for the Toolmaker:

  • Corrective, breakdown, and preventative maintenance on the Tooling
  • Respond swiftly to breakdowns
  • Produce new tools, moulds and hot plate welding jigs
  • Repairs on welded jigs and fixtures
  • Tooling modifications and refurbishments
  • Ensure repairs are carried out to agreed timescales

Skills & experience required for the Toolmaker:

  • Ideally, you will be Apprentice trained and will hold a Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • To have worked previously with injection mould tools.
  • Ideally, have comprehensive tooling knowledge of “Hot runner systems”
  • Both preventative and repair to existing tooling
  • Tig welding skills
  • Capable of polishing to 3 micron mirror finish

Role

Role Overview

  • The test development engineer team is a support team in the Product Development department.
