Job Description

I am recruiting for an Electrician to join a design specialist within the construction Industry. The role will require you to work within the plant Maintenance department, this position will support company activities by the manufacture, modification, maintenance, and repair associated equipment and ancillaries.

Shift: Days 39 hrs a week, Monday to Thursday 7am till 3.30pm with ½ hr lunch and then 7am till 2.30pm with ½ hr lunch on a Friday.

Requirements for Electrician:  

  • You must possess as a minimum NVQ2 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
  • May suit someone with an auto electrician background.
  • You will need a good working knowledge of 24v DC electrics.
  • Be able to read and interpret electrical schematics.

Duties for Electrician:

  • Complete Programmed Maintenance tasks as scheduled by Plant Department.
  • Maintain and service rig 24v DC electrical systems.
  • Fault find and rectify rig 24v DC electrical systems.
  • Use appropriate processes and tooling to maintain equipment.
  • Read, interpret, and complete tasks in accordance with electrical schematics. 
  • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
  • Comply with Company procedures and regulations.
  • Complete relevant paperwork to facilitate documentation of works.

DUTIES OF THE OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

  • Overall management and accountability for the Production and Engineering functions, in order to meet sales, output, manufacturing efficiencies, quality, safety and environmental targets

  • Is it essential that you have a Degree in Chemistry, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Strong experience of chemical synthesis
  • A strong leader, with the ability to develop, mentor and manage, a natural Leader
  • Good knowledge of managing cost and budgets
  • Experience in SHE requirements and process safety management (COMAH ideal, but not essential)
