MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

I am recruiting on a very exciting opportunity for a Technical Maintenance Engineer to be the point of contact (POC) for technical communication with equipment support teams when troubleshooting or developing improvements (MCT, Quadra, etc.).

You will be assisting the maintenance team with various tasks including design, construction, equipment installation, system configuration, maintenance, developing preventative maintenance plans, and providing (internal) customer support.

  • Monday to Friday role 6am start
  • £40,000
  • 25 + 8 days holiday.

A Level 3 installing electro technical systems and equipment, 2349/2395 Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (2395-01) and minimum 17th edition BS 7671:2008 (2015) either of these would be desirable. 

The Technical Maintenance Engineer roles duties include:

  • Supporting the maintenance team during planning, design, development, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Analysing existing systems and operations and developing documented preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Identifying potential technical/mechanical problems and notifying the relevant personnel in a timely manner.
  • Leading or contributing to process improvement strategies.

MAINTENANCE FITTER

I have a tremendous opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join a hugely successful and highly reputable company situated near Dudley. 

My client is looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join their busy team. Working a x2 shift rotating pattern of days and nights you will be responsible for all maintenance activities on site, to ensure factory production is maximised.

IT TECHNICIAN

The successful candidate MUST have previous experience as an IT Technician and is able to maintain the computer and network systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an IT Technician who is used to providing support across the business and can provide cover and assistance in Customer Services and Logistics departments.

IT Technician Duties:

  • Assisting with support to users both local and remote resolving PC and network problems
  • Responding to equipment support requests, e.g., replacing cables, moving computers, changing printer toners
  • Provide day to day cover in Customer Services and Logistics depts to include but not limited to data input, scanning, monitoring of dept. email inboxes

IT Technician Requirements:

  • Having a minimum of 2 years’ IT experience is essential 
  • Previous experience of working with Syteline or similar ERP software is advantageous 
  • Advanced IT skills (Excel including formulas, Pivots, VLOOKUPs and PowerBI) 
  • Being diligent and methodical with attention to detail, with respect to change documentation
  • Releasing and implementing system changes & producing End User Documentation

RELIABILITY ENGINEER

Do you have a background in supporting Engine, Powertrain, or Driveline DFM / NPI projects?

We are working with a successful small specialist company that have already secured business and orders from their customers up to 2030 and beyond. 

They have a proud history of providing their products to a wide range of global customers and have become a recognised brand for quality, reliability and performance in their specialist field.

Based in the company’s South Staffordshire site a Reliability Engineer is now required to support the Design Team in the successful delivery of concept and bespoke projects to the point of manufacturing. Ensuring that all the required Design and Quality standards are adhered too, and all correct documentation has been completed and checked before release.

Reliability Engineer Duties: 

The Engineer will generally work autonomously on a Day-to-Day basis, but support will be in the department and at Senior Management level when required. 

The position will wear a number of hats and will support projects through the design and test phases, into production and then pick up post delivered product issues and faults from customers, when they arise. 

Working closely with the Design Team and Quality Department the role will perform the following daily duties:

  • Checking Engineering Drawings (Solidworks) 
  • Ensure Designs meet the required standards
  • Create Production Design / Process FMECA Reports 
  • Run Analysis Meetings
  • Be involved in Process Change Exercises 
  • Evidence / Data gathering reports 
  • Liaise will all Engineering, Suppliers and Customers 
  • Be the initial point of contact (Customer) 
  • Assessing the suitability of inspection methods 
  • Work closely with the company’s Quality Manager 
  • Understand Design / Production techniques 
  • Ensure design projects are correct, with the right dimensions and geometric tolerances
  • Be the point of contact for all product return issues. 
  • Working through and managing their own workloads and conducting various tasks, the right person will need to be able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. 

Reliability Requirements 

  • 5 Years+ experience of being in a Design Checking and Documentation type of role 
  • Good exposure of managing reliability reports and exercises 
  • A good working knowledge of products related to Engine, Powertrain, Moving Machinery or Driveline. 
  • Ideally a background in design and developing niche and bespoke products from concept through to final delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • A formal qualification in engineering
