A leading provider of maintenance equipment and services to the rail industry are seeking a Sales Engineer to join their team. The company have been trading for some time and have well established relationships with all the major players in the industry.

The Sales Engineer will receive the following benefits: 

  • Salary of up to £30,000
  • 33 Days Holiday (incl. 8 bank holidays)

Sales Engineer Duties:

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Technical sales into the entire rail customer base
  • Identifying and winning opportunities for new business
  • Working closely with the delivery teams to ensure customers problems are solved

Sales Engineer Requirements:

Candidates wishing to be considered for the Sales Engineer should have some or all of the following experience:

  • Knowledge of welding systems / time spent in a hand on welding role
  • Knowledge of the UK rail industry
  • Time spent in a technical sales / sales engineering position

This role can be based either in Dagenham or Castle Donington.

Technical Sakles Engineer Requirements:

  • Batchelor’s degree in an Engineering related discipline is essential
  • Previous experience of managing bespoke complex commercial proposals and design
  • Ability to relate to and communicate with customers/suppliers at all business levels
  • Comfortable traveling internationally and working independently
  • Have a strong understanding of international trade and finance 
  • Must have a valid UK driving licence
