You will be based on site working a 3-shift system and there will be an induction phase of up to 2 months where you will be working morning and afternoons rotation until familiar with the site. The goal is to continue the shift from a reactive approach (fixing problems as they occur) to a proactive one (preventing problems before they happen). This not only improves efficiency but also helps achieve business targets.

You must be time served with a mechanical maintenance Apprenticeship (minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent). Practical working experience in Manufacturing/Industrial Environments. Some duties for the Maintenance Engineer may include:

• Welding & Fabrication – MIG, TIG, and arc welding; metal fabrication and repairs.
• Machine Shop Skills – Lathe operation, milling, grinding, drilling, and general machining.
• Hydraulics – Fault-finding, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and actuators.
• Pneumatics – Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of pneumatic circuits, compressors, and control valves.
• Mechanical Fitting & Assembly – Bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, chains, and belts.
• Planned & Reactive Maintenance – Conducting routine servicing and emergency repairs to minimise downtime.
