This exciting Maintenance Electrian role is commutable from: Winsford / Warrington / Runcorn / Macclesfield / Ellesmere Port.

Main Duties and Requirements the Maintenance Electrician will Have and Hold. 

  • Previous experience within a Manufacturing / Packaging organisation. 
  • Ideally the right individual will hold a 60/40 Split Electrically Biased – with a Good Knowledge on the mechanical side. 
  • To carry out Planned Maintenance Activities. 
  • Fault finding abilities with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC’s 
  • Other Kit on Site: Hydraulics & Pneumatics / Conveyor systems / Packaging and Labelling and Wrapping Equipment / Temperature controls / HMI’s / Controls / Motors an Drives. 
  • Able to read both Electrical and Mechanical Drawings 
  • Flexibility is key to the role as you maybe required to work a alternative shift. 
  • The right individual will be Apprentice trained holding a formal qualification in Electrical Maintenance engineering.

Requirements and Duties for the Maintenance Electrician Role.

  • Previous experience within a Manufacturing / Packaging environment and proven experience within a Stable Maintenance electrician role.
  • Provide both Reactive & Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • Fault finding (Electrical and Mechanical Faults where required throughout site.
  • Previous experience with the following kit: Siemens & Allen Bradley PLC’s – Fault finding abilities / Hydraulics & Pneumatics / Controls / Temperature Controllers / HMI’s / Packaging & Wrapping equipment / Conveyor systems / Motor and Drives.
  • You will have involvement in Project work
  • Implement improvements / Lean Manufacturing Culture.
  • Ensure compliance of all plant and machinery with health and safety legislation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Apprentice trained holding a City & Guilds / NVQ Level in Electrical engineering
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Previous experience within Manufacturing & Packaging.
  • Proven experience within a Maintenance Electrician role.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Role Description

  • In the role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be joining the Engineering team to provide effective reactive engineering support to plant and equipment within an automated manufacturing environment. 
  • You will also conduct planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) including implementing and developing new processes to resolve maintenance faults, repeat issues and inefficiencies in a continuous improvement.
  • You will be working rotating 4 on / 4 off 12 hours shifts Days and Nights. 

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Skills and Qualifications

  • Successful candidates will ideally hold a recognised Time served Apprenticeship, supported by an Electrical Engineering qualification such as City & Guilds/ONC/NVQ3 or equivalent. 18th Edition wiring regulations would also be of benefit.
  • Strong Electrical abilities are key to this role, including Electrical fault finding, testing, parts replacement and experience with PLCs. 
  • I would be keen to speak with Maintenance Electricians, Electrical Engineers, and Multiskilled Engineers with strong Electrical abilities who hold Industrial Maintenance experience.

A company with a long track record for innovation and offering tailored bespoke solutions to its global customer base, is currently seeking an Electronic Design Engineer to enhance their R&D Team.

As a company they design and develop a range of technical mechatronic products that are often required to work in partnership with other electronic technologies and equipment.

Their own internal team consists of experienced personnel in the areas of Software, Electronic and Product Design and this position will support all of these areas, with a biased toward Electronic Hardware Development, but with daily interaction with Digital, Software and Mechanical applications as well. 

The company are currently busy with the development of three new platforms that are required for delivery and testing early 2021, so the team are extremely busy developing and prototyping new technologies to ensure this target can be achieved. 

The position will be offered the opportunity to work remotely and on-site for the initial first 6 months, but the role will then be likely to be reverted back to purely on-site working, so applicants should ideally be situated within a 1 hour commuting distance of the office (South Manchester) 

Experience of the following would be extremely useful: 

  • Schematic Layout and PCB
  • Good working knowledge of STM32 Cortex M4
  • Exposure to Visual Studio, C++, C#, Python, bash
  • Good experience in Source Control, e.g. GIT, subversion
  • Collaboration tools, e.g. Confluence
  • Bluetooth 5 modules & Wi-Fi modules
  • USB 3 Type-C including Power Delivery control via STUSB
  • Digital/Analog signal conditioning
  • Control circuitry, load drivers, stepper motor control
  • Design for EMC and other certifications (e.g. CE, LVD, CB, FCC, UL, CCC, etc)

  • Design of test equipment and procedures for high reliability production of volume parts
  • Experience of Windows App, Android, iOS or other mobile application development would be useful
