Material Handler Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified to drive a forklift truck and operate cranes/slings is essential. You will ideally already be qualified or must be willing and able to undertake the necessary training.
  • Able to deal with the daily rigors of manual handling.
  • Able to carry out routine tasks with limited supervision.
  • High level of respect for all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Willing to work as part of the wider Manufacturing team.
  • Flexible in approach to tasks.

Material Handler Key Responsibilities

  • Transport jobs between work centres and departments.
  • Review material lists and report back any issues.
  • Prepare material racks ready for production.
  • Provide feedback on missing jobs.
  • Update visual management boards.
  • Issue stock materials.
  • Ensure paperwork is kept with jobs during transportation.
  • Ensure safe transport and storage of components.
  • Complete daily safety compliance checks.
  • Maintain the workplace in a neat, clean and orderly condition (“good housekeeping”).
  • Comply with Health & Safety policies and procedures, paying particular attention to forklift truck, crane/slinging, manual handling and COSHH procedures.
  • Provide cover (e.g. during holiday/sickness absence) in other Manufacturing areas as required.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required, given the time, means and training.
  • To be aware of and follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures, in respect of self and others.
  • Carry out 6S tasks.

Production Manager Role Summary

  • To maintain a safe working environment, by ensuring that all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to.
  • Manage the assembly (mechanical, electrical and testing) activities of capital equipment and major spares contracts, to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost performance improvements of the Assembly area, in line with company targets.
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive through changes to gain improvements in assigned KPIs.
  • You will need a minimum of HNC or equivalent in engineering.

Candidate Requirements

  • Able to lead, motivate and manage personnel to achieve stretch targets.

Production Manager Key Responsibilities

  • To be aware of and follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures, in respect of self, all team members and any colleagues, contractors or customers within Assembly Area.
  • Implement process change initiatives through Kaizen and C.I. activity to improve safety and achieve all performance improvement targets.
  • Manage the assembly (mechanical, electrical and testing) of capital equipment and major spares contracts, to meet customer requirements. Attend or chair daily/weekly/monthly meetings and briefs, as required, in order to communicate departmental/company information. Ensure safe and clean working practices and monitor via housekeeping audits.
  • Team development through appropriate coaching and training programmes. Monitoring and control of performance using Visual Management techniques. Actively reduce or eliminate ‘waste’ activities and challenge existing processes and procedures.
  • Ensure orders and resources are planned, prioritized and communicated accordingly. Monitor quality issues to continually improve product and process quality. Maintain information in respect to methods, processes and procedural standards.
  • Management of direct reports. Provide Assembly expertise to other departments and functions. Generate detailed assembly plans in conjunction with the master schedule.
  • The Production Manager will need to deputise for the Manufacturing Manager and other supervisors, as and when required

PRODUCTION TIG WELDER

The Production TIG Welder will provide a high quality, efficient welding service within the production team and wider operations department. Working within a highly skilled and qualified welding team you will use a variety of jigs, fixtures, welding plant and manipulators to assemble and weld a wide range of products to exacting standards.

Production TIG Welder Package and Benefits:

Production TIG Welder Person Specification:

  • Proven experience of TIG welding within high technology production / manufacturing company.
  • Experience of welder coding to EN287-1 / ASME IX and / or PED.
  • Experience in welding stainless steel to a very high standard.
  • General interest in engineering, welding, and factory production operations.
  • Good PC skills including Outlook.
  • Production experience in a small batch capital investment goods environment.

Production TIG Welder Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Carry out all required welding work, to the highest standard.
  • Acquire the knowledge and qualifications for welding the complete size / range of instruments ensuring the necessary quality standards are achieved.
  • Carry out basic assembly related work such as expanding, pressure testing, helium leakage testing as required.
  • The Production TIG Welder will assist in other production related tasks, when required by the line team leader or Production Manager as appropriate within the line or wider production department.
  • Work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures as set out by the company, especially regarding Manual handling and PPE.
  • Support customer inspection activity.
  • Maintain all welding equipment / hand tools in good working condition and keep the welding bays tidy / organised in line with company housekeeping standards.
  • Assist in development of new production methods, to assist in improvements to the present product lines or development of new products.
  • Perform TPM and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and fixtures as requested.

MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

I am recruiting a very exciting opportunity for a client based in Grantham. As a Maintenance Engineer your role will be to carry out planned maintenance across the Factory and Wastewater Treatment Plant. You will complete PPMs and PTIs onsite whilst always ensuring that there is a proactive approach to planned maintenance.

The shift pattern for this role is an 8-week rotation and includes 12-hour shifts covering days, nights & weekends 4 on 4 off.

MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

I am looking to recruit a Maintenance Electrician role for a leading global organisation within the Manufacturing sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a team to provide breakdown cover and maintain machinery and Automation equipment.

The shifts for the Maintenance Electrician role are 4 on 4 off days and nights 6-6.

  • To support and implement progressive improvements of our existing manufacturing automation processes working with both internal and external resources
