Based in Milton Keynes, the Applications Engineer is responsible for a variety of tasks – here is a snapshot of what this role entails: 

  • Engaging with customers to understand their requirement from a technical perspective
  • Translating this to the various design and operational teams internally
  • Quoting and pricing works
  • Assisting in the design of processes for applying longevity-giving materials to surfaces
  • Providing feedback to the client on progress/any challenges
  • Keeping all internal stakeholders in the loop with progress
  • Project management of the project from customer engagement, through inception and design until finally handing over to operations for full scale production

Within this Applications Engineer role you will deal with lots of different challenges, and no two days will be the same. You will spend the first 3 months on short secondments around all divisions of the business to understand and learn exactly what the business does so that you are fully prepared and trained by the time you start working with customers on projects.

The Applications Engineer works on projects from Formula 1 to aerospace, from defence to nuclear and everything in between.

The Business Development Manager will be tasked with growing UK sales. The company manufacture a wide range of capital equipment for use within the industrial cleaning sector, with many varied applications.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving sales with new customers, across the UK, by identifying opportunities to sell their products to contractors involved in cleaning in an industrial setting.

The business has a global turnover in excess of €30m and manufacture their products themselves to the highest industry standards.

The products require a consultative, solutions focused sale and as such an entrepreneurial character will be needed to be successful.

As the Maintenance Engineer – Mechanically Bias, your duties will include:

  • Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of the site to ensure production interruptions are kept to a minimum, in addition to working on the installation and commission of a new manufacturing facility. 
  • To Manage the maintenance schedules and budgets
  • To communicate with the ops department to coordinate maintenance and repair work
  • Assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions
  • To adhere to safety, health and environmental policies and procedures
  • Review the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimise unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Prepares reports, analyses data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operation and solving maintenance related problems

  • Previous experience as a Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer within a plant maintenance environment
  • You must have a strong Mechanically bias background but have a general electrical knowledge too

  • Exposure to a polyurethane or similar industry preferred 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
