This is an excellent opportunity for a Bid Manager who has a background in the Fire & Security industry and has experience with the Tendering/ Contracts process, along with managing a team.

As Bid Manager you will assist in the development of all sector and service line business development campaigns and will support in allocating best practices throughout the Company and Division. In your role as Bid Manager your department plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving the Company’s growth:

DUTIES:

  • Manage a team to effectively deliver the Company bid activity. Providing training and 1-2-1 support as required for their development.
  • Define and disseminate bid best practice on an industry and regional level to the Company and Division
  • Be responsible for implementing, overseeing, and enforcing the Bid Management Process
  • Support in the continuous development of the Bid Department, to generate more efficient ways of working and increase success
  • Undertake market intelligence and competitor analysis projects to ensure competitiveness is maintained across Service contracts.
  • Work alongside all key stakeholders to win new business and successfully retain existing maintenance contracts through re-tenders and renewals

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to persuade, influence and challenge in a constructive manner and identify appropriate solutions
  • Commercial, tender, business development, sales or marketing background
  • Experience of managing multiple projects with time-critical deadlines
  • Delivering results and meeting client expectations
  • Ideally educated to a degree level (or equivalent)

This is an exciting role and suitable for someone who has previously worked as a Bid Manager, Deal Manager, Pursuit Manager or Business Development Manager in the Fire & Security industry.

As a Technical Sales Engineer you will be working as part of a division who is responsible for delivering a wide array of solutions and technologies into a varied customer base. These customers are typically working with automation technology and need to know everything from data about a single sensor through to help with full systems. 

Technical Sales Engineer Duties:

  • Provide technical support to UK customers & sales colleagues for all company product types responding to technical queries received from all sources (email, phone, www, etc)
  • Providing solutions for customer problems using company products
  • Participate in trade shows and Exhibitions and assist with marketing activities as required
  • External sales projects as required. May be product or industry specific
  • Updating and maintaining the Company CRM System with respect to customer accounts, customer contact details, visit reports and customer appointments etc

Technical Sales Engineer Requirements:

  • An HNC/HND or Higher technical qualifications in either electrical/ Electro-Mechanical/ Electronic Engineering 
  • Technical qualifications in Electrical, Electronics or IT is preferable but not essential
  • Understanding Engineering data sheets and technical documents
  • An understanding of Electrical schematics or Industrial systems
  • Understanding of industrial automation. Understanding IT system topology

ACCOUNT MANAGER
