METROLOGY ENGINEER

We are offering a role for a METROLOGY ENGINEER to work on a permanent AFTERNOON  position.

An award winning leading Midlands manufacturer are looking to expand their Metrology department and are looking  for a Metrology Engineer.

Commutable from Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Moseley, Hall Green, Tyseley, Solihull, Harbourne, Bournville, Handsworth, West Bromwich, and Hollywood

RESPONSIBILITIES for Metrology Engineer

  • Measure components
  • Working from customer drawings with limited supervision
  • Programming CMM machines
  • Dimensional investigation work
  • Conduct hardness testing

REQUIREMENTS FOR A Metrology Engineer

  • To be able to work from engineering drawings
  • CMM Programming abilities
  • An understanding of GD & T
  • Previous experience of using verniers and micrometers
  • IT literate
