As the Metallurgist, you will exhibit a strong understanding of metallurgical concepts.

Commutable from Birmingham, Kidderminster, Worcester, Dudley, Halesowen, Redditch, Wombourne, Rubery, Northfield, Longbridge, Bromsgrove and Stourport-on-Severn

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor failure trends and investigate mechanical test failures
• Ensure standards are met in the manufacturing facility
• Technical contract reviews
• Creation of new manufacturing procedures
• Selection of material and processes
• Provide training and support
• Conduct metallography for routine testing and failure investigation
• Technical input
• Investigate quality and non-conformance

REQUIREMENTS

• HNC or equivalent in Materials Engineering / Metallurgical 
• Strong understanding of metallurgical concepts
• Experience of Metallographic preparation and analysis would be beneficial
• To have gained your experience from within a manufacturing industry
• Good attention to detail
