Due to continued growth, a long-standing, world leading, Manufacturer, with a continuous order book require a Production Engineer experienced with ISO9001 to come on board and offer effective methods for manufacturing and handing within production; setting labour times and ensuring all the supply of necessary equipment and tools are provided to ensure a smooth and efficient manufacturing process.

Roles & Responsibilities of the Production Engineer:

  • Design of jigs, fixtures and tooling for production
  • Introduce new machines and provide support during transition
  • Involvement with continuous improvement activities to increase production efficiency
  • Coaching and training team members and apprentices
  • Co-ordinate subcontracts
  • Provide Capex reports with justifications
  • Produce and amend CNC programs using CAM systems
  • Determine all manufacturing methods of new products

The Production Engineer should:

  • Be able to work to ISO9001:2015 standard Engineers drawings
  • Have an ability to OFFLINE program using CAM
  • Have experience of process planning
  • Be willing to attend exhibitions and read journals to examine new machine tools and processes to introduce into the business

  • Strong people Management skills
  • A good knowledge of Quality and environmental systems would be helpful
