Probe Technical recruitment is recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a very well-known FMCG in one of the company’s four UK sites of the world’s largest manufacturer of its products. As a family-owned company, they care both about using simple ingredients in their products and about the people who make them.

Requirements for Maintenance Engineer:  

  • Apprentice trained Mechanically / Electrically
  • 17th Edition (desirable)
  • Knowledge of PLC controls
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Worked within the food industry (beneficial)
  • Mechanical or Electrical

Duties for Maintenance Engineer

  • Liaise with production personnel, and report back to your supervisor potential problems
  • Carry out the instructions from your supervisor
  • Meet with immediate Engineering Charge hand and Supervisor to discuss problems and solutions
  • Develop individually and within the team, adapt to become more pro-active
  • Provide support for other engineers and departments as and when required
  • Carry out maintenance programmes
  • Produce CMMS work requests and up-date as required
  • Help evaluate new equipment, and carry out performance trials
  • Work overtime when requested
  • Cover holidays and sickness for other engineers
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
  • Report all, deficiencies observed during the course of your duties
  • Participate in the individual training programmes
  • Always work to current Health and Safety legislation
