My client is looking for a forward thinking, proactive Quality Technician to join their established and respected business, who manufacture metal components to a variety of industries.

Your day will consist of…………….

As a Quality Technician you will be responsible for the overall sample approval process within the business, developing best methods of manufacture, optimising product quality, increasing efficiency and minimising customer returns, internal scrap and OEE down time. This will be a very hands on role, so you can’t be afraid to get your hands dirty.

The skills & experience you will need……………

The successful Quality Technician will need to demonstrate experience in the following arrears:

  • A passion for quality
  • Essential that you have a sound understanding of customer drawings & measurement equipment
  • Experience of working within the metal industry (manufacturing)
  • Previous experience sample parts
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems
  • Complete FOLO inspections including gauging
  • Generate internal ISIR, FAIR & PPAP and similar inspection documents for customer submission
  • Participate in regular quality and environmental audits
  • Practice Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
  • Carry out quarterly internal calibration
  • Maintain COSHH data sheets
