Multi-Skilled maintenance engineer –

Shift- Double Days – 6am / 2pm / 2pm till 10pm

Benefits: Pension, 30days holiday

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrically Biased, To work with a leading organisation based in the Rossendale Area.

Responsible for completing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance tasks and improvement work across two sites using effective problem-solving and trouble shooting. 

  • To provide feedback on completed tasks, root cause and follow-up work.
  • Plan and prioritise own work to ensure that tasks are completed on time in line with Company objectives.
  • Attending to breakdowns and ensure downtime is monitored and recorded for improvement purposes
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of control systems circuitry
  • Work closely with shift Supervisors in achieving production objectives
  • Undertake engineering appraisals of all equipment in order to identify and quantify causes of inefficiencies / poor
  • Performance and identify potential solutions.  Contribute to site asset condition register to assist in identifying areas for investment
  • Enter accurate, detailed feedback on all completed tasks into SAP on a daily basis
  • Identify needed parts, supplies and repair items

Other

  • Serve as an active participant in LSS programs that promote continuous improvement
  • Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules
  • Must be able to work extended hours when required
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Formal electrical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent e.g. HND/HNC
  • C&G 17th Edition qualification
  • High standard of electrical knowledge (with manufacturing bias)
  • FLT/Mobile Platform license
  • Experience of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Mechanical engineering experience
  • PLC systems
  • Ability to analyses complex problems
  • Flexible in approach and attitude to work
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and on own initiative
  • Multi-skilled
  • Able to work on own initiative to plan and organise work in line with business priorities
  • Able to work calmly and effectively when under pressure
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Competent IT skills including outlook, windows and excel
  • Excellent organisational skills
